Before I could even react, Evan stretched out his left hand and rolled up his sleeve. He clenched his fist, revealing every visible vein on his arm.
"Relieve me of my pain, Mr. Roberts. This is too torturing for me." Evan's eyes were rolling uncontrollably, and he was on the verge of fainting.
"Hendrix! Don't let me lose all my hope in you. Please, don't do that to Evan!" I shouted, and I started to cry.
Hendrix stretched out his hand toward Evan's arm. I turned my face away and could not bear to watch anymore.
However, Jordan suddenly had an idea. Regardless of my punches and kicks, he held my chin and forced me to watch Hendrix inject Evan.
I watched as Hendrix inserted the needle into Evan's blood vessels. The liquid entered Evan's blood as Hendrix pressed onto the syringe until it was empty. Evan opened his mouth wide and rolled his eyes. As soon as Hendrix withdrew the syringe, Evan's body twitched twice, and he rolled on the ground, looking as if he was in heaven.
But soon, the side effects came. Perhaps it was the first time Evan's body came into contact with such high-purity drugs that he started foaming in the mouth. Even his nose was bleeding. At first glance, he looked like a patient with epilepsy and might suffocate at any moment.
Jordan and Hendrix's expressions were the same. They squinted their eyes and waited quietly, waiting to see if Evan could make it or die.
Jordan was enjoying the show so much that his grip loosened. I knew that since it was easier to deal with one person. I stepped on his shoes hard while he wasn't paying attention. Then, I rushed to protect Evan and called the ambulance.
While waiting for the call to answer, I took out the knife I had prepared in my bag and put it on my neck. "Listen, we either wait for the ambulance to arrive. Or I'll die with Evan, and none of you would get away with this."
Hendrix squinted his eyes, saying, "Sending him to the hospital will only result in him being detained. Do you think this would be the best for him?"
"Shut up." When a woman is furious, she wouldn't care if this person was her true love or not. I yelled, "I don't want to talk to you now!"
"So you finally couldn't take it?" Jordan held his knees and bent down near me. He smiled, but his eyes were not as he asked, "Come on, tell me, how much do you love Hendrix now?"
Hendrix was startled at first, and he held his breath. After he came back to his senses, he struggled to push me away.
I took a few steps back and stood firm but couldn't suppress the excitement in my heart.
His body's reaction couldn't lie. Now there was an answer to what I wanted to confirm.
I turned to look at Jordan. He closed his lips tightly like he was trying to suppress his anger. What I did made him greatly irritated.
I thought to myself, well then, now's the time to add fuel to the fire.
"You're right. Two people with totally different perspectives can't be together. But even so, nothing can compare to Hendrix. Therefore, I've changed my mind now. I'll join you and take out all my money for Hendrix. This way, we can continue to love each other again. Am I right, Jordan?"
