Jordan froze for a moment as he did not expect me to turn on him. However, he quickly hid the surprise in his eyes and showed a meaningful smile. "Of course, I promise that if the Reid family is willing to cooperate, I will never make things difficult for you. Wouldn't it be nice if you had another partner? The choice is yours."
Aaron curled the corner of his lips coldly. He only pretended to smile for a second before he regained his look of jealousy. "You want to use the Reid family to clean up what you've done? Dream on!"
"Aaron..." I stopped him to prevent them from any further conflicts.
Hearing this, Aaron turned his head and looked at me coldly, which scared me so much that I immediately swallowed my words.
He looked around, but in the end, he did not continue arguing. Instead, he lowered his head and said to Emma, "Let's go home."
Without asking anything, she allowed him to hold her hand, and they walked toward the door.
Aaron suddenly stopped as he approached the door. He tilted his head and looked back into the room. "Go ahead and take back your shares. Just don't do anything illegal. It's filthy!"
"Also, we are no longer siblings from now on!"
After saying that, he walked out without looking back, quick and straightforward.
For a moment I really thought Aaron was going to cut ties with me. I felt as if my heart was being stabbed by someone, and it hurt fiercely.
Looking at the door, I was lost in thought. However, Hendrix acted as if nothing had happened and continued to eat.
I was so angry that I reached out to hit him and scolded, "Are you satisfied now?"
She raised her chin arrogantly, like a proud peacock, showing her plume. "I would even die for Jordan whenever necessary!"
It was a romantic confession, but it was not real. She forgot that I was not a passer-by, but an old friend who knew very well that she was obsessed with Sebastian. "I believe you, but I don't know if I should tell you something. I have found out where your son is."
Naomi's elegance and coldness disappeared in an instant, and she became the image of a loving mother. She blurted out, "When?! Where is he? Have you confirmed his identity?"
I did not answer her and just looked at her with a smile.
A person's subconsciousness was the most real. For Naomi, she might be able to risk her life to return Jordan's saving grace. However, apart from Sebastian, the child was what she cared most about. There was no place for Jordan in her heart.
Naomi soon realized that her lie had been exposed. Hence, she sat back awkwardly. She lowered her head and apologized to Jordan. "I'm sorry."
