My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 2304

I was dumbfounded at his vehemence, so I could only agree for the time being. "Okay. Please watch over Wynn and the others for me."

"No problem," Aaron said earnestly, "But you'd better come back and take them home as soon as possible."

I knew he had a sharp tongue but a soft heart. He was obviously worried about my safety and was trying to get me to come home sooner. I smiled and nodded even though he could not see me. "Okay, I'll go back immediately after I'm done. I won't delay for even a second."

"Be careful."

"I will." After that, he hung up the phone.

It was gloomy outside, so I couldn't tell what time it was.

I turned on my phone and saw that it was 10:40 a.m.

After some thinking, I realized that I had slept for about a full 24 hours, a whole day and night. I wondered how Hendrix and Evan were doing.

Jordan didn't want me to die, which meant that I meant something to him, giving me an advantage.

From now on, I did not have to bend toward Jordan's every will anymore.

The cruel reality was, people like him didn't know how to love. All he cared about was not losing.

If I died, he would have nothing to compare with Hendrix anymore. That meant that he would always be a loser.

I did not want to die, but I wanted Jordan to think that I was not afraid of doing so. That was the only way to strike fear in his heart.

I had plenty of free time while I was left to recuperate in the hospital. Since Jordan wasn't around, I tried to pinpoint the island's location based on my memory.

Unfortunately, I realized from the map that there were too many islands around me. It was difficult to pinpoint where I was with just my sense of direction.

My eyes could not help but light up as the food entered my belly. It was honestly very delicious.

However, I did not let my emotions show on my face. Stubbornly, I said, "Did you make this? You have a lotto learn from Hendrix. It's barely edible."

Jordan calmly picked up another spoonful of food and put it into my mouth. Then he said, "Hendrix

made this."

I almost spat out my food. Was this a joke?

"To make sure you eat, I asked him to cook this meal personally for something in exchange." Jordan was focused on putting the food into my mouth as though it was an important job. I was quite shocked by his meticulous care.

"What did you give him in exchange?" I asked as I munched away. Hendrix knew my tastes very well. No wonder the food was perfectly seasoned to my liking.
