The second was a set of emeralds. It was said that Master Milton had brought it back from Myanway for his beloved wife when they went there for business in the '90s.
Unfortunately, although the emerald was of good quality, the bid only reached five million dollars as there was a bracelet missing.
Evan couldn't help frowning while looking at them. He seemed to be deep in thought.
I started to feel a little bored at the auction and decided to talk to Kelsey.
Kelsey's gaze had already scanned the entire auction hall, and she had seen almost everything she could see.
She held my hand and started to introduce the famous collectable antiques on both sides of the auction hall by whispering, "Wow, they are all top quality collectables worth tens of millions of dollars. These collectors are really the unknown rich ones. These items are worth tens of millions, and some of them are quite priceless."
I agreed with her after taking a look around and said, "If someone could steal any one of the items from here today, I guess that the money earned will be enough for that person to spend for a lifetime."
The corner of Kelsey's mouth twitched as she looked at me in exasperation, "Did you see the tough concrete and tempered glass that are guarding those treasures? There will be two guards standing next to each of the items, so normal people can't get close to them at all. Moreover, there will be professionals who will come and check on these items every five minutes."
It was also not easy work.
Kelsey looked at the auction stage, patted me and said, "Look, the next item is that sandalwood box!"
I turned back and looked towards the stage. Sure enough, there was a box on the stage that looked exactly the same as the box that Grandmother had given me.
The host stood on the stage and started to give us an introduction on the origin of the sandalwood box, "You all must be wondering why are we auctioning such a box that is particularly ordinary in both craftsmanship and material, right?"
