My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) novel Chapter 877

I couldn't help but take a few more looks at him. Being here with him felt strange but was somewhat normal at the same time.

Noticing me sneaking looks at him, he lifted his eyebrows and asked, "Would you like a glass?"

I instinctively shook my head, feeling a little awkward, "No. thank you."

Normally, in places where the neon lights swayed, lights and shadows danced, and where people came to be free and relaxed, one would be drinking a glass of cocktail or at least something alcoholic. Instead, he was carrying a glass of Coke.

Even so, no one felt that it was abnormal since there were both adults and children around. Even amidst the swaying shadows and the upbeat party music playing, everything was still very much clean.

The music sounded in the hall. A singer was belting her heart out on stage to a ballad, her voice melodic with sorrow.

I listened to the sad music with melancholic tones, feeling fascinated by the singer's voice.

I saw the man standing up and leaving all of a sudden. Soon after, he came right back.

I looked up at him in surprise when I saw that he had put a glass of juice beside me.

He smiled lightly, and his facial features were particularly well-defined, "You're welcome!"

I remembered who he was - the man I had met in front of Grandma's tombstone. I sat there shell-shocked for a while.

I shifted my attention to him and asked, "Have we met before?"

He raised his eyebrows and asked, "Do you know me?"

I shook my head, "I don't think so!"

He smiled lightly, "So, you don't know me."

My mind felt like it couldn't think straight for a while. After a moment's hesitation, I looked at him and said, "No, I mean, have we met before?"

It had nothing to do with knowing each other or not.

He smiled, "Since you don't know me, naturally, you've never seen me before."

I paused for a moment, "I don't know you, but that doesn't mean I've never seen you before."

The coldness in this man gave me an innate feeling, but I was stubborn.
