I was startled. I didn't expect that these girls were meant to transport shady goods.
For a moment, the other girls were also stunned. We had been homeless for many days. Although we knew that we had been bought for something, we hadn't known what for.
Realization only dawned upon me after hearing what he said. I took a deep breath; I was glad. If we hadn't run away at the time, we would have been used to transport illegal goods.
"I can only tell you that I am here by mistake. So, could you help us get back? I can give you whatever you want."
I had no choice but to plead.
The man pondered for a bit, looked up hesitantly before raising his hand and patting the tannedskinned driver. Then, they exchanged a few words.
The tanned man looked back at me, doubt in his eyes. After a while, he frowned and continued talking as he drove on.
After they'd finished talking, he looked at me and said, "Well consider sending you to Monsa, but the others will not come with you."
Then, the car stopped. Before we could say anything, we were gagged and pulled out of the car.
We were brought into a seaside villa, which was surrounded by the men in black uniforms.
I had thought that the five of us would be held together, but I didn't expect to be separated as soon as we entered the villa.
I was taken to the second floor, to a rather clean and tidy room.
The door closed, and the man motioned to the other to untie the rope around me. He told me, "Miss Reid, you may rest here for the next few days. We will have someone send you back to Monsa."
