His next revelation was expected.
Kaleb had just been using the necklace as bait to lure Hendrix to his territory.
As for me -1 was just collateral damage.
Hendrix had never expected that I would be there, and Kaleb had never expected that I would have a relationship with him.
Seeing that I was silent, he got up and asked nonchalantly, "Is there anything else you would like to know?"
"What's the relationship between Sebastian and Mr. Kaleb?"
"They are business partners!"
"Methamphetamine?" I asked, afraid at the prospect.
He curled his lips and sneered. "Most of our Methamphetamine is sold to Western Europe. There's not much business in the local market."
"What's their main business then?"
"Emeralds!"
I had almost forgotten that there were not only bountiful Methamphetamines in Myanway, but an abundance of Emeralds as well.
I fell silent for a moment. Seeing that he was preparing to leave, I looked at his back and calmly told him, "I want to see Mr. Kaleb!"
He nodded his head.
Then he went out.
Kaleb came in the next morning,
His slender figure stood at the head of the bed. The man looked at me indifferently with a hint of coldness and asked, "You wanted to see me?"
I nodded, sat up and leaned on the bed. Then, I looked at him and said, "You promised me that as long as I did what you asked, you would let my friends go."
He frowned and looked a little cold. "Your friends?" He scoffed. "What makes you think that you can exchange one life for four?"
