Oscar laughed flamboyantly. When a person felt particularly smug, they tended to forget themselves.
He stretched out his hand towards me, preparing to pull me into the private room. I wanted to avoid it, but Dahlia blocked my way. There was no way for me to keep away from him.
I felt appalled, not wanting to be touched by this disgusting middle-aged man.
I broke out in a cold sweat, and could not help but be disgusted. I wanted to push him away.
But before he could do anything, my arm was pulled tightly towards someone's chest.
Hendrix uttered, deep and fierce, "Leave!"
The people around were stunned for a moment. Oscar's hand, which was about to reach out and towards me, hung stiffly in the air.
He retracted his hand slightly and laughed awkwardly, "Hahaha, we've caused Mr. Roberts to wait for too long, let's take our leave!"
Hendrix held me in his arms, almost half of my body attached to his. It looked very suggestive.
Dahlia pinched my arm, and it felt a little painful. I raised my hand and rubbed it. Hendrix's low voice approached me. "What's wrong?"
I shook my head and said lightly, "I'm fine!"
Dahlia went to Evan's side, her gaze seemed sinister as she looked at Hendrix and me.
We were both women. Earlier, I didn't know why she suddenly wanted to be friends, but I knew now.
An outstanding man like Hendrix was untouchable, the kind of man ordinary women couldn't reach.
Even so, in Dahlia's mind, despite her being ordinary, she still felt like she was special and attractive. She was a typical narcissistic personality.
