Sebastian glanced quickly in my direction and then said with a sheepish smile, "Mr. Roberts, you really care about women. I should've thought about that and sent Linda for the medicine. Anyway, Linda, please get some ointment for Miss Reid's burn. It won't be good if it scars."
Linda stood up and agreed, "That's right, I've forgotten about it. I'll do it right now."
She slipped away quickly.
I sent a smile of gratitude to Sebastian, smiled slightly. "Thank you!"
He winked. "Don't worry about it!"
When Evan came back, he handed a small bag to Rowane and said, "Miss Zanes, shall I help you apply it?"
Rowane shook her head in refusal. "There's no need. Thank you, Evan, for your help. I'm fine. We'll do it after dinner."
Linda came back shortly after. She handed me a box of ointment and said, "I'll wash my hands first and apply it for you!"
But when she left, Sebastian took the ointment from my hand, pulled out a chair, and sat down next to me. "I'll apply it for you!" What is he trying to do?
Before I could react, he had already taken out the ointment. He squeezed out some of the medicine and rested my hand on his thigh to apply the ointment on my angry, red skin.
Linda came out after washing her hands. When she saw him helping me with the medicine, she was surprised, "Mr. Milton, you..."
"What's wrong?" Sebastian raised his head and looked at her with a pair of thoughtful eyes.
"No, it's all good!" Linda quickly said as she wiped her hands dry with a napkin.
For a moment, the atmosphere was a bit strange. The order had been placed but it had not been served yet. Sebastian was tenderly and attentively applying for the medicine on my burn I stole a quick look at Hendrix. His face was frozen like ice. No one dared to say a word.
