Chapter 170
Arabella heard the melodious ring of a mobile phone at the other end, and Kenneth answered it before it rang again. Arabella almost suspected that he had been waiting for her call all the time.
However, Kenneth did not speak after the phone was answered.
Arabella lowered her eyes and asked, "Mr. Lucero, why don't you talk?"
Kenneth finally said in a deep and magnetic voice with slight hoarseness, "I thought you wouldn't call me again."
Arabella bit her red lips gently. She had not expected him to be so self-aware. She felt too shy to mention what had happened that night. Finally, she opened her mouth and let out a heavy grunt.
The receptionist standing aside had been looking at Arabella. She didn't know who Arabella was calling, but she was sure that it couldn't be Kenneth. Then she heard Arabella let out a coquettish grunt with her head down.
The receptionist thought Arabella was pretty coquettish and felt that she seemed to have a boyfriend or an ambiguous male friend. As a result, she couldn't understand why Arabella would still throw herself at Kenneth.
The receptionist hated such fickle girls who kept a back-up very much, so she decided to expose Arabella when Kenneth came back.
At that moment, an extended luxury business car stopped outside the Lucero Group. Cole, Kenneth's private secretary, got out of the car and respectfully opened the rear door. Then a tall and handsome figure quickly jumped into sight.
Kenneth came back.
"Look, Mr. Lucero is back!" The receptionist's eyes quickly lit up like a fervent fan.
Arabella was sitting in the hall, so of course, she noticed what was going on there. The hall door was pulled open, and the executives of the company, with their blue cards around their necks, rushed out as if to welcome some big shot.
