As Roger came, Caitlin had the upper hand.

Seeing Roger, Seth left Arabella alone, stepped toward him, and flattered, "Godfather, welcome to our wedding anniversary. We are honored to have you here. You are the most distinguished guest."

Roger was fat and looked like a businessman. He patted Caitlin's hands and said, "I heard Caitlin was unhappy because she was bullied recently. I promise you to marry her because you can make her happy. Unfortunately, you let me down."

Hearing this, Seth froze. He had promised to help Arabella punish "her", but Roger stood to support "her", which made Seth so embarrassed.

Though he was very sensitive about his reputation, he had to put it aside and asked Roger to deal with the capital issue.

"I'm sorry, godfather. I'll be kind to Caitlin. The scandal cannot destroy our relationship. That's why we celebrate our wedding anniversary," Seth said while closing his eyes.

Roger looked at Caitlin and asked, "What do you think?"

Caitlin was so delighted. She glanced at Seth and said reluctantly, "Alright, let's see how well he will treat me."

"Are you clear? You must try your best to make Caitlin happy," Roger said.

"Yeah. Yeah." Seth kept nodding.

Roger was very rich and influential in the business world in Hardgrad. Thus, the businessmen struggled to chat with him.

Caitlin kept holding Roger's arm, since she was showing off to Arabella and the rich ladies who had ignored her just now.

The wealthy ladies felt very awkward.
