In the bathroom, Charmaine switched on the exhaust fan. She sat on the toilet and watched the two figured

“I’ve been held up by some things. Let’s talk about it later.” 

Charmaine heard some noise outside and said, “I’ll freshen up first; you guys get some rest. 

After saying that, she hurriedly hung up the video call. 

Rex stared at the dark screen, feeling a bit confused.
