My Reborn Story Is Insane novel Chapter 3

Chapter 3 Shameless
Emyr returned home six months ago. He had already become disabled and was dependent on a wheelchair upon his return.

Upon Charmaine's return to the Nelsons, she learned of the engagement. Both Nelsons and Reads were around at the time. Leah made a casual but regretful remark, "If Mr. Emyr had come back earlier, I could have married into that family, and then Chara could have stayed home to spend more time with our parents."

As soon as these words left Leah's mouth, Olympia's expression hardened.

She playfully scolded, "You can't marry him. If you did marry that ... how could you live for the rest of your life?"

Charmaine's eyes fixed on Olympia's mouth as it silently formed the word 'trash'. Out of courtesy and upbringing, she held back the words, but the disdain on her face was unmistakable.

Leah glanced at Charmaine, hesitating before saying, "But Chara ... she ... "

Olympia frowned and said, "Chara's just come home; she doesn't even know the rules. We'll discuss the engagement later."

At the time, Charmaine had believed Olympia would make plans for her future. Now, with her affection for family gone, she saw things clearly.

Leah couldn't marry the trash when she was left for 'later'.

In her previous life, if nothing had happened tonight, her marriage arrangement with Emyr wouldn't have changed.

Therefore, using her fiancé as an antidote in her moment of desperation didn't seem wrong.

After getting some rest, her trembling legs felt somewhat better. Charmaine was about to leave.

She took a step but paused, deciding to turn back.

She thought it was best to leave some dignity for her fiancé.

Under the moonlight, she finally saw the man's handsome face, which seemed like a masterpiece crafted by the god. Even sitting disheveled and unconscious in his wheelchair, he couldn't hide his natural aura of authority.

"Such a perfect man! What a pity!"

She muttered, bending down to drape his torn pants over him and fasten his buttons.

A pendant on Emyr's chest slipped out from under his collar.

She narrowed her eyes. After a moment's thought, she moved the pendant aside and pulled down his collar.

There on his tanned, muscular chest was a vivid tattoo of Archangel Michael. The fierce expression and imposing figure on his chest stood in stark contrast to the pendant.

Charmaine stared at it for a while. Then she buttoned up each of his shirts individually before leaving.

Not long after she left, the man in the wheelchair slowly regained consciousness.

The sticky sensation around him, the disheveled state of his clothing, and the soreness in his legs all clearly indicated what had happened in the room.
