But that didn’t matter. Once the program aired, Leah would surely make a name for herself!
For almost two weeks, Bennett had been busy traveling around Anshire with Cash Ingalls.
Before the trip, Cash had prepared in advance, while Bennett, still feeling the setback from the South City bid failure, had reached out to Roger.
Thanks to Roger’s connection, they were among the first to learn about the redevelopment plans in Anshire, specifically the land in the old city’s Ringview Park area.
Bennett assumed that buying up old, dilapidated houses would be a simple matter. However, most of the residents still living in Anshire were elderly, and even though their homes were falling apart, they stubbornly refused to leave. They preferred staying in their worn–down houses, believing they were better off there than moving to a small apartment in a modern complex.
When Bennett first arrived, he spent days trying to
a the
families, but none of them would agree.
Just as he was about to lose the opportunity he had been working toward, Cash came up with an idea.
Cash recommended that Bennett buy the property of the most influential family in the area at a high price. He should then quietly communicate with them and spread rumors, making everyone believe the demolition was inevitable. However, he should also hint that the compensation offered wasn’t much- certainly less than what property developers like them were offering.
By the time the official notice came out, it would be impossible to sell these houses.
Within a couple of days, the residents were in a panic.
Even if they didn’t want to move, they couldn’t afford to lose money!
After knowing the last influential family was anxious to sell the house, the others could not sit still.
This time, Bennett stayed out of sight, and Cash took the lead. In just three days, he managed to buy 20 of the rundown single–family homes in the redevelopment area for six million, along with two additional storefronts.
Bennett was overjoyed. As soon as he received the contracts, he couldn’t wait to video call Leah.
“Sweetheart, look, I’m going to make a lot of money!”
Bennett’s eyes squinted into slits as he grinned, his greedy, shrewd expression fully visible on his wrinkled face.
“It’s all thanks to Cash! As soon as he stepped in, everything got sorted!”
Leah had already heard about this from Sophie. At first, she didn’t believe it, but now, seeing the contracts in Bennett’s hand…
She was surprised that Cash had really pulled it off.
Still, she wasn’t convinced and asked a few more questions. “What about the sellers? Have they been secured?”

The buyer offered this amount.”
Bennett made a gesture with his hand–it was ten million.
A glimmer of light flashed in Leah’s eyes. “Four million in profit. Not bad.”
“Hehe, that’s enough to fund our company!”
Leah didn’t argue. After the initial surprise, she felt it was only natural.
It made sense. She had already taken Charmaine’s luck, so it was about time her own fortunes turned around.
Whether it was Bennett or Cash, they were just benefiting from her good luck.
“Alright, I got it. We’ll talk when you get back,” Leah said, glancing at Zayn who had just entered. “I have something to take care of, we’ll catch up later.”
After hanging up the phone, Leah immediately dropped the impatience and indifference she had shown toward Bennett, replacing it with a light smile as she greeted Zayn.
“How did it go?”
