Seeing this, Leah chimed in to explain, “Ms. Robin, please ignore his lapse in manner. Zayn has always admired you, and he didn’t expect to be so close to you. He’s just a little too excited. 

“When my brother found out you liked cats, he even went to the store personally to pick out these gifts. He never wastes time on anything other than medical research.” 

She chuckled playfully, clearly trying to play matchmaker. “I’ve never seen Zayn be this nice to any woman besides my mom and me!” 

Zayn’s face immediately turned uncomfortable. “Leah!” 

Leah laughed even more brightly and raised her hands in playful surrender. “Alright, I’ll stop,” she said with a grin. 

She turned to chat with the celebrity guests next to her. 

The flustered Zayn lowered his head and apologized to Charmaine, “I’m sorry, my sister is spoiled and uncouth. If she offended you, Ms. Robin, I apologize on her behalf.” 

Charmaine chuckled lightly and casually replied, “Mr. Nelson, you really dotes on your sister.” 

Zayn didn’t think much of it and followed her lead. “We have a lot of boys in the family, and she’s the only girl in our generation. She’s my only sister, so I’m supposed to spoil her.” 

Charmaine’s expression remained unchanged as she looked at his fake sincerity.
