Finally, after sending Rex on his way, Celeste put down her phone and sighed in relief. 

Erin had been quietly waiting by the side with her luggage. She’d been eavesdropping on their conversation and was deep in thought. 

“Let’s go. Our ride is waiting outside.” Celeste grabbed her suitcase and headed for the door. 

Erin hurried to catch up and asked sweetly, “Celeste, was that the rich friend you were talking to last time, the one you played games with?” 

“Yep, that’s him.”

“He asked for my help! I was just trying to save his date from falling into his ridiculous trap!” 

Erin kept arguing back. Celeste, already on edge, was getting annoyed. Her impatience was clear on her face. “Why do you care so much about his problems? If you’re so concerned, I can just buy you a ticket to go back right now.”
