Almost instantly, the call was picked up. A surprised voice came through. “Ms. Nelson?”

Leah spoke calmly, “My friend found out that the guy running the company cafeteria also posted bad stuff online. Add him to your list.” 

Oscar Stone, Jonah’s secretary, paused in shock. “Ms. Nelson, could you send me concrete proof so I can confirm it from my side?” 

Leah’s tone instantly turned sharp. “What’s that supposed to mean? Are you saying I made it up to frame someone?” 

“I didn’t mean that. It’s just…” Oscar hesitated. 

“It’s hard to explain everything to Mr. Jonah, and the list has to be finalized before next the quarter ends. Replacing the cafeteria contractor takes time–we’d need to pick a new one at least a month ahead. It’s cutting it close.” 

Leah sneered. “Do you think I didn’t consider that? 

“I’ll handle Jonah. Just add the name. And about the cafeteria, I know someone in that field. I’ll pass you his contact information. Talk to him directly.” 

She wrapped it up with just a few words. 

Oscar stayed quiet for a moment. 

Leah then said casually, “You’ve been working with Jonah for three years, haven’t you?” 

“Yes. He promoted me when he took over,” Oscar replied. 

“Then you 

should know how close Jonah and my dad are to me. Do you still need to bother him about something this minor?” 

Oscar knew what she meant. In the years he’d worked under Jonah, he’d bought Leah more gifts than he had for his fiancée. 

When she damaged the company’s image recently, he was the one who handled the mess behind the scenes. It was obvious how much Jonah and Willard cared about her. 

After thinking for a second, Oscar replied seriously, “Alright. Got it.” 

Leah smiled in satisfaction and ended the call. 

Her expression turned thoughtful. She’d been unsure about making this move, but now.
