My Reborn Story Is Insane novel Chapter 6

Chapter 6 Let It Burn
On the other end of the call, Rex Chapman was ranting, "You've given so much for them—granting Nelson Group the patent, donating custom medication to your brother's hospital, and offering Milo's Company a chance with their lead role. You've made so many sacrifices, but all those ungrateful people seem to care about is Leah. It's driving me mad!"

Charmaine chuckled at this and teased, "You're upset? How about a reward? You have my permission to reclaim the patent."

"The Nelsons are still pushing for a lower price, and we haven't signed the patent agreement yet," Rex continued. "They're also casting the female lead for the drama. Wait, take it back."

When those words finally clicked, Rex howled, "I'll stop everything now!"

Charmaine instructed, "And everything else we've given to the Nelsons—reclaim it all."

"Great! That's perfect. Boss, are you coming back? I'll announce your identity to everyone tomorrow, so the Nelsons will regret this and cry their hearts out."

"No, I have things to do."

"What things?"

A mysterious glint appeared in Charmaine's eyes as she replied, "For instance, ruin the pride of the Nelsons entirely."

"What?"

"Enough talk for now. I'm going back to pack and head to the hotel."

"Why are you going to the hotel? Didn't I buy you a villa at Eastlake?"

Before he could finish his sentence, Charmaine had already left the screen.

Rex was good; with him managing the company, she felt at ease.

He was too talkative.

The Maybach gradually made its way into Eastlake, Eragos's most affluent district.

When the Nelsons first took Charmaine hime, Rex handed her an address and a password. He had bought her a villa there, worried she'd have nowhere to go if the Nelsons mistreated her.

In her previous life, Charmaine had suffered neglect and scorn. She never once set foot here before she died.

She hadn't expected Emyr to live here too.

But as the car ventured deeper into the neighborhood, Charmaine felt increasingly uneasy.

She checked the map—it was beyond the Eastlake boundary, entering an unmarked area.

At last, a massive set of black and gold iron gates appeared.

Beyond it lay vast fields of green, luxurious landscaping, and several grand buildings scattered across the grounds.
