Chapter 110
Bryan had exhausted the last bit of kindness he had for Madeline.
“This kind of woman is just ungrateful,” he thought.
No matter how beautiful they looked, he was not interested anymore.
There were many beautiful and obedient women in the world, and he was never short of women.
Moreover, his mother was coming soon. Madeline beat him up, and now she would have no way out.
‘Unfortunately, she’s a brainless beauty, and here I was, thinking that society was a simple place!” he thought.
Bryan sneered. Bryan could already foresee how miserable Madeline would be later.
“Keep talking tough. I’ll see how long you can keep at it.”
He took out the lighter and lit a cigarette.
“Little girl, don’t think you can talk nonsense as you like.” Harold couldn’t help smacking his tongue and looking at Madeline like she was a fool. “Mr. Labiche and your brother are different. Your brother is no match for Mr. Labiche’s status! Now that you have offended Mr. Labiche, even your brother can’t protect you. In fact, even when your brother was at his peak, he couldn’t compare with Mr. Labiche. If you think that your brother can protect you, you are wrong.”
“That’s right. If it had been before, Mr. Labiche might have given your brother some respect,” Lillian also added, adding fuel to the fire. “But this time is different from the past. Labiche Group has gone public, and the Larson family is practically bankrupt. Going against Mr. Labiche is like courting death.”
She smiled as she touted Bryan’s ability.
Madeline glanced around at these people.
She was not interested in them and didn’t care about their grudges.
She pursed her lips and asked curiously, “Is the Labiche family really so impressive? It’s strange. I have never heard of anything about the Labiche family.”
Lillian frowned and said, “That’s why you are a country bumpkin at the bottom of the social hierarchy! Of course, you don’t know about this kind of upper–class family.”
Everyone here thought Madeline was courting death and trying to seek out Bryan’s bottom line.
Bryan was not a kind person, and Madeline would have to pay the price.
But they were all enjoying the scene. Since they were not the ones who were at risk of being burned, they were not afraid of the fire.
“Madeline, I know you…” Harley began in a low voice but did not finish the sentence. “But this is my business. As you said, we are not brothers and sisters anymore. Don’t interfere with my business.”
He didn’t want to owe any more favors, especially from Madeline.
Madeline’s eyes were full of puzzlement. “Bryan humiliated me, so naturally I will have to punish him. The question is… what does this have to do with Harley? What did he mean when he said I was interfering with his business? He really was thinking too much of himself,” she thought.
At this time, Bryan’s mother, Heidi Labiche, finally arrived.
She happened to be nearby. The moment she heard her son was beaten up, she immediately got angry, forgot about what she was doing, and rushed over.
She only had one son, and she treated him like he was her treasure.
The Labiche family allowed Bryan to have his way at all times, and they never let him suffer any grievances.
“How dare someone be so bold as to hurt my son? Do they have a death wish?” she fumed internally.
“Who hit my son?”

Chapter 110
A mature female voice sounded at the door.
Everyone looked over and saw a woman dressed in luxurious clothes with shoulder–length hair coming to them with a crowd following
her.
Lillian looked at the lady, her eyes full of admiration with an unmistakable trace of flattery.
Everyone else muttered among themselves as well.
After all, this was the lady of the Labiche family.
Labiche Group had gone public and was of great value. This was the lady of an extremely wealthy family.
Seeing his mother coming, Bryan sneered, “Mom, I just came back. Some people don’t know my family background and think that I’m some random nobody they can simply beat up. Look at my hand. It’s probably broken, and it hurts so much. Mom, you should let those ignorant people know what sort of power our family has.”
“Hmph!” Heidi held her bag and said indifferently, “Our family can easily squash any insignificant person like an insect. Since they hurt the heir of our family, things will get ugly today.”
Her eyes were cold, and so was her face, which was well–maintained. She went on, “Our whole family values this son. If anyone dares to hurt him, it means they outright disrespect our family.”
Harold was frightened. Afraid of being the target of Heidi’s rage, he hurriedly pointed at Harley and said, “Mrs. Labiche, it’s all him. Mrs. Labiche used to be jealous of Mr. Labiche’s family. This time, he even ordered someone to hit Mr. Labiche! Harley, you deserve it!”
Heidi looked at Harley.
She recognized him at a glance.
She had met the Larson family before in the Chamber of Commerce. However, now that the Larson family offended Glorious Group, the former was a gone case.
business.
Although their business used to be small, at least the Larson family used to do business.
Now, they were nothing.
“Was it you who dared to hit my son? Do you not know your own capability? Do you need me to remind you of the Larson family’s current situation?”
Harley’s Adam’s apple rolled, and his face was bruised. It was obvious that his injuries were much more serious than Bryan’s.
“My conscience is clear. Bryan was picking on me. I don’t think I was wrong.”
“How dare you say that?” Heidi raised her hand high and swiftly slapped Harley on the cheek.
The sound of the slap rang out.
Harley’s face was turned sideways from the slap.
His face soon turned red and swollen instantly.
This woman was brutal and did not hold back. She hated this scum of a guy who dared to hurt her son.
“What makes you think a scum like you is worthy to touch my son? Look in the mirror and see what you are!”
Heidi’s tone was sharp and mean, sounding high and mighty and filled with disdain.
Everyone around spoke up and pretended to agree.
“Mrs. Labiche is right. Who do you think you are? Do you know who Mr. Labiche is? How dare you?”
