Keaton reached his current position through skill, intellect, and connections. 

He remained calm, not budging an inch even though he was facing Ivan. 

The Willams family was adept at adapting to various situations. However, when it came to ensuring the safety and upholding the interests of their family members, they stood firm like heroes, never retreating or compromising. 

Keaton sneered and continued, “Life is always the most precious. Was my nephew’s life taken in vain! Whoever killed my nephew should pay their life. That’s the only fair thing to do! Even you, Mr. Ford, must recognize this logic, don’t you agree? 

Ivan spoke with gravity, “I am not here to negotiate. I am here to inform you that you can either let this go and treat it as a simple misunderstanding between kids, or involve the adults, in which case the outcome will not be as straightforward” 

Keaton sneered again, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “If Madeline was the one gone today, I doubt Mr. Ivan would have been so gracious” Ivan narrowed his eyes slightly. To him, Borris was nothing more than a worthless life; once gone, he was forgotten, with a fate he deserved Madeline’s life was precious and obviously couldn’t be compared to Borris‘; even thinking about comparing them was absurd. 

Ivan said. “Borris almost killed Henry, so he paid for it. It’s over now? 

Keaton burst into anger instantly and said, “How could some lowlife from the countryside even think of comparing to my nephew? My nephew is a young talent in the martial world with a promising future! He’s my older brother’s most cherished son. How could Henry even compare to Borris in status and background“” 

Ivan let out a slight smirk. 

People were inherently selfish and hypocritical. 

Ivan just said. “Alright, since we can’t reach an agreement, you should just leave.” 

Ivan wasn’t concerned about Keaton. He knew full well how people like Keaton rose to such prominence. Ivan’s background was just as murky, so he didn’t despise anyone. 

However, Ivan wouldn’t mind kicking the Williams family down from where they were, watching them roll to the bottom, and seeing if they still had the nerve to confront him. 

When Ivan wood up, the bodyguards in black quickly gathered around to protect him.

n said with a touch of irony. “I must congratulate you, Mr. Ford, on your promotion. It’s not easy to reach the top.” 

Ivan smiled faintly and remarked, “What’s the value of a promotion when there are still people who don’t pay attention and bump into me with full force! In the end, they leave me with a mess to clean up” 

As the footsteps faded into the distance, Keaton’s tension finally broke. He took off his glasses, sweat covering his forehead, his back drenched. It was as if all his energy had drained away, leaving him sullen and speechless. 

Keaton knew he could not possibly y measure up to Ivan. 

However, his family’s safety was involved, which forced him to be assertive. 

After enduring so many difficulties over the years, Eraton couldn’t believe that the family the three brothers had carefully built would become unstable because of this crisis. 

Standing at the doorway, Paige waited until Ivan and his people had left before she stepped into the room with her purse in hand. 

Seeing Keaton like this, Paige quickly poured him a cup of water and wiped his sweat, saying, “Honey, why do you put yourself through this? He’s Mr. Ford! Remember how hard we tried to get close to him and failed, and now we’ve completely fallen out with him and really offended him. When I saw Mr. Ford leaving with a gloomy expression, he didn’t look good at all.” 

Keaton took a deep breath and uid. “So what We have no other choice. At times like this, if we back down, everyone will think they can trample on -the Williams family! I want those watching the fun to see that the Williams family is no pushover!” 

Paige frowned and sighed. The mentioned this before with Daniel and Sue spoiling their daughter, using their wealth and influence to shield her from the consequences of her actions, it’s bound to lead to problems. Eventually, she’ll meet someone more powerful than us, and it could bring disaster upon our entire family, implicating us all” 

Keaton’s expression changed immediately, and he scolded, “What are you talking about? How dare you criticize the Willians family’s children!” 

Paige sneered, “What am I talking about? You know better than I do what kind of person your niece is. Even as a lady, she caused trouble patade

But now, seeing Keaton heading toward self–destruction and the Williams family ready to suffer because of what Monica had done, she really wanted to abandon ship.

Paige continued. “Caleb is not an ordinary person. He’s an international arms dealer. When he sets his sights on someone, the stakes change dramatically. Are you aware of the multitude of followers he has overseas? He’s a real devil! And now we have Mr. Ford to consider. If he is indeed pursuing you, who will safeguard you? Facing off against these two formidable people is daunting on its own. But have you considered the possibility of additional unknown adversaries lurking in the shadows? Have you contemplated the potential for a catastrophic outcome?” 

Keaton was silent for a moment.
