Chapter 320
Jimmy left in a hurry.
Madeline had a final meeting with him, and Jimmy gave her a diamond necklace.
The night was very dark, and the wind before the storm blew, cold with swirling gusts.
“Maddie, there’s a hurricane expected in the next few days. You should head hack soon, Jimmy said.
Holding the small box and looking at the diamond necklace, Madeline tapped her foot on the ground and said, “Jimmy, as far as I know, you inherited all your father’s assets, and it’s more money than you could spend in several lifetimes. Why do you have to go to Dravena Isles to risk your life for more money? I don’t understand…
“You’re still young, and there are many things you don’t understand. People always want to be more powerful and wealthier. I’m just an ordinary person, unable to escape the ordinary desires,” Jimmy said with a smile, his hand in his pocket. “Don’t think too highly of me; I’m not a good person. I’ve been in hell for a long time.”
Madeline shook her head. “I don’t believe that.”
“What? You don’t believe I’m a villain? Actually…” Jimmy raised his hand. This hand of mine is stained with countless amounts of blood. I’ve lost count of how many innocent girls like you have died at my hands. But I don’t care. All I want is power, money, and status. Other people’s fates mean nothing to me.”
Hearing this, Madeline felt her heart sink a little.
She firmly said. “In my heart, Jimmy, you are a good person and always have been. I trust my own judgment.”
“If you want to believe that, you might end up disappointed,” Jimmy said with a smile, his eyes holding a hint of warmth. “Well, I need to go back with Irene. Take care.”
With that, he turned around and walked away,
Madeline hurried after him. Jimmy, I have a gift for you.”
She held out a small gold coin engraved with patterns. “This is my lucky coin. Look, it features ancient marine creatures. It’s quite rare. It might not be purely natural, but it’s a token of my goodwill. I hope you will be lucky”
She handed the small gold coin to Jimmy.
Jimmy took the coin and placed it in the pocket close to his chest. “Thank you. I believe I will be lucky.”
Madeline waved with a smile. “See you, Jimmy.”
Jimmy
y wanted to stroke her head but stopped himself when he felt a gaze from nearby. “Alright, goodbye. We’ll meet again. Madeline watched as he left and sighed. She felt their time together was too short and unsure when they would meet again.
She didn’t know what kind of beliefs Jimmy held, but she wished him luck and safety.
Gavin approached from behind. “He’s gone, and you’re still watching? Jimmy prioritizes his girlfriend over friends. Let’s ignore him.”
Then glancing at the weather app on his phone, he added, “We should leave too. There’s a hurricane coming, it’s not safe.”
Madeline turned to him and asked, “Is your stomach better? Wasn’t it acute gastroenteritis? Does it not hurt anymore?”
Gavin’s face fell immediately, and he clutched his stomach, his charming eyes filled with a look of pity. “It still hurts a lot. Not just my stomach, but my intestines too. It’s excruciating…
“Why did you eat so much seafood?” Madeline teased but still showed concern. “Do you need me to accompany you to the hospital? If it’s this painful, you might need an IV to avoid dehydration. Don’t worry about your pride; let me know if you’re truly uncomfortable.

Chapter 320
“Maddie, it’s too late to see a doctor abroad now. Compared to home, it’s quite inconvenient, Gavin said, focusing on his phone. “We need to move to the next place to avoid the hurricane.”
“Have you made arrangements?” asked Madeline.
Gavin replied. “Of course. Since you don’t want to deal with the details and just want to be taken care of, I’ve arranged everything.”
He waved his phone and said, “It’s freezing back home. We should head somewhere warm. I’ve booked flights to Aventira where we can see wild animals. I’ve arranged for a local professional guide team and bodyguards to protect us.”
“Are you serious? Aren’t there a lot of big pythons in Aventira?” asked Madeline.
“Yes, are you scared?” said Gavin.
Madeline pouted, “I’m not scared, but… I have a variety show to shoot, and I might need to return in a month. Besides, I still have to go back to university for my studies.”
“Alright, I understand. We’ll do as you say when the time comes,” Gavin said with a smile, patting her head. The scenery is nice now. How about a walk by the sea? Once we are in Aventira, it will be all about the grasslands, forests, and deserts. “Sure,” said Madeline.
On the return flight, Jimmy seemed to revert to his usual reserved and composed self.
