Chapter 324 

Madeline frowned and instantly walked away. 

Her assistant, a young woman named Leila Cochran, who was only a few years older than Madeline, noticed and quickly caught on. Coughing lightly and pretending not to see Lucas, she followed Madeline, dragging a large suitcase. 

She said. “Maddie, the person you’re avoiding is Lucas Larson, who became a bit popular during the winter break. How do you know him? 

“From the way you’re reacting, it seems you don’t want to see him. Should I have a word with Mr. Fisher and ask him to arrange for the producers to remove Lucas, the person you dislike, from the show?” 

“No need. You have been working for Nolan, so you might not know much about the entertainment industry. Lucas is my brother,” Madeline explained to Leila while walking, sighing with a bit of frustration. “But our bond has long since eroded. He just likes clinging to me whenever he sees me, and it’s annoying.” 

Lucas had been overly attentive to Madeline when they were on the same set before, even more so than Madeline’s own assistant, which led to some gossip.

Madeline looked at Leila’s serious face and realized she might actually do something like that.

Lacas was taken aback. “Maddie, you’ve got a new assistant, and her temper is pretty fiery” 

It was understandable why Leila was so harsh with Lucas. Everyone in the Phantom Organization, especially those serving the Zodiac of Asuras, had a strong dislike for the Larson family members. 

They all cherished and were protective of Madeline and understood how deeply the Zodiac of Asuras was pained by her mistreatment at the hands of her family. Each of them longed to avenge her, but without direct orders from their leaders, they

But Lucas approached her again and sat next to her. “Maddie, we’ve gamed together before, and our teamwork is great. If we team up, we could make it to the top. What do you think?” 

Madeline gave him a long, worried look, thinking, ‘One underperforming teammate is challenging enough. If the other three are also unreliable, the situation could become hopeless. Regardless of whether the other three are better or worse, Lucas’s performance is certain–he is not very good!
