Chapter 100
Chapter 100
No matter how busy he was, he would reply to her messages even with a short reply like. “Talk about it later, or I’m in a meeting.”
But this time, she didn’t get a word!
Her face twisted with anger.
At the same time, Kelvin was talking to Elizabeth in the lounge.
“Mr. Miller,” Elizabeth greeted him politely.
“You were early today.”
“I’m sorry for being late in the past.”
After the call with Benson, Elizabeth suddenly recalled that Samuel had not been transferred the money yet. It was already nine
o’clock. “Is he so shameless as to not give me the reward?” she thought. So, she made a phone call to Samuel.
Samuel was listening to work reports by two senior executives when his phone rang.
The two executives ignored the ringtone and continued reporting for they knew Samuel never picked up calls during working hours.
To their surprise, Samuel got up from his chair and made a pause gesture, and then walked to the window to answer the phone.
He could overlook the entire city from the window as if he were in the clouds.
The phone had been ringing in his hand for a while. Just as he was about to answer it, the way how Elizabeth acted last night popped
into his mind.
He knew she must have called to urge him for transferring money.
Squeezing his eyes, he dropped the idea of answering the phone.
“Do you want money?
“I won’t give it to you so easily!” he thought.
The two executives looked at him from behind and then at each other in disbelief.
Samuel had never picked up any calls during working hours even though it was from Celia, the publicly–recognized wife of Samuel, They wondered who it was on the other side of the phone making Samuel hesitate over answering it.
As they were guessing, Samuel turned around and sat back. “Continue,” he said coldly.
They quickly brought themselves back to the present and continued to report, as if what had just happened was just their imagination.
Elizabeth kept calling Samuel, but he didn’t answer.
In fact, Samuel had put his phone on silent mode since he had expected it.
“Samuel, let’s wait and see!” Elizabeth thought.
The first thing she would do after filming was to get even with him.
By the time Elizabeth left the lounge, the production team was in a mess, Kelvin and Duke were nowhere to be seen. All the staff was

searching for something.
Elizabeth’s eyebrows furrowed. She realized that something was wrong.
She heard a woman crying. As she looked sideways, Elizabeth saw Celia crying her eyes out in her costume.
“Celia, don’t cry. We’ve been looking for it for you.”
“Right. We’ll find it.”
“You know what?” Nancy looked sad. “The bracelet is the birthday gift Celia got from her boyfriend last year. It’s specially customized
by Mr. York, so it means a lot to her. If we can’t get it back…”
“No way! I’ll find it!” Celia was crying her eyes out. “I… I saw it before I got changed.”
“It must be somewhere here. Look, all of the crew, including makeup artists and the director, are looking for it. We all know how much it means to you.”
“Yes, we’ll definitely find it. Celia, drink some water.”
Celia raised her hand to wipe her swollen eyes, saying in a choked voice, “Thank you. I’m. sorry for the trouble. The bracelet means the world to me. Sam said that it’s my lucky star that can bring me good luck. I can’t lose it.”
Her heartbroken look made people feel sorry for her as if she had lost her everything.
Elizabeth watched coldly from several feet away, disgusted by Celia’s affected look.
“What’s the big deal? Isn’t it just a bracelet?
“How pretentious she is!
“Are we going to put off filming just because of her bracelet? I’m going to see Samuel for money after it,” Elizabeth thought.
“Celia, where have you been since you arrived?”
