Chapter 16
Elizabeth was not annoying. Her mistake was that she loved Samuel too much. At least Nelson liked Elizabeth’s appearance. Men liked something beautiful. Hadn’t Samuel been fascinated with Elizabeth?
As soon as Elizabeth went into York Old Manor, she heard a young man roaring.
“You couldn’t do it. Why don’t you die?”
“If you have time to talk nonsense, why don’t you go to find someone?”
“If you can’t find anyone, you have to do it on the stage.”
Elizabeth could feel the man’s anger from a few feet away. After four years, he was still irritable. Couldn’t he be
calm?
It was Steven York, Samuel’s half–brother. He had been doted on by James and Tomas since he was a little boy.
Therefore, he
Tomas didn’t intend to talk to Steven. Steven had been like that since he was a child.
Tomas was supported by Elizabeth and went in.
“You are disobedient. I told you to stay in the hospital, but you came back. Tomas was worried about Elizabeth. “What if something happens to you?”
“Grandpa, you know I can’t sleep well in other beds, so I can’t get well in the hospital. Besides, don’t you think I’m
fine?”
“Can’t you sleep well in other beds?” Tomas smiled. “Have you got used to it in the past four years?”
‘I had to make do with it.” Elizabeth behaved like a child in front of Tomas.
Steven, following behind them, wondered in dissatisfaction, “Why does Grandpa like this woman so much? Is it because she has turned prettier? It is useless.”
Steven cursed secretly.
Helping Tomas sit down, Elizabeth sat beside him. She was still dizzy after being hit on the head by the car.
The smell in the hospital was bad. Elizabeth hadn’t slept since Tomas left in the middle of the night. It was tormenting.
Steven was frustrated. Tomas looked at him angrily and asked, “Did you get into trouble at school again?”
“No, Grandpa. It is something serious. Grandpa, please help me.” Steven knelt in front of Tomas and told him, the whole story, weeping.
Tomas waved at Steven with displeasure. “I don’t know what you are doing all day long. Your father is not busy. You

can ask him for help.”
“No, Grandpa, you are much more reliable than my father.” With that, Steven hugged Tomas‘ leg, “Grandpa, I only know you. I am your most beloved grandson. Do you want your handsome and lovely grandson to wash others underpants every day?”
Hearing what Steven said, Elizabeth and Tomas had weird expressions.
“Okay, tell me exactly what you want me to do.”
“Alright.” Steven got up from the ground in an instant and brushed his bangs. “If a supermodel from our company can help me, I will definitely win.’
“You have a good plan.” Tomas snorted.
“Grandpa, I am as wise as you.” Steven gave Tomas a thumbs up.
Tomas was speechless.
Elizabeth was also confused.
Samuel was taking care of Celia in the hospital. She was asleep. Not to disturb her, Samuel stood up and went to the window to answer the phone.
“What’s the matter? Samuel was stern and straightforward.
Samuel was strict with Steven, but Steven was good for nothing.
“Samuel, help me. I’m really in trouble,” Steven cried.
“You have three seconds.”
“It’s your wife. She has a lover.”
Sitting in the passenger seat, Elizabeth twitched her mouth and kicked Steven, who was driving.
Steven’s driving skills were good. He rolled his eyes at Elizabeth and continued driving. “Samuel, you are sol unlucky. Your wife cuckolded you. I saw it.”
“Who is my wife?” Steven and Elizabeth could feel Samuel’s anger from the other end of the line.
Steven coughed and looked at Elizabeth triumphantly. He corrected himself immediately, “Samuel, I was wrong Your wife is Celia, and Celia is your wife.”
Elizabeth sat calmly in the passenger seat. Steven could say whatever he wanted. She didn’t care at all because she and Samuel had divorced four years before.
Elizabeth had been Samuel’s wife for more than 20 years. However, she wasn’t any longer.
“Samuel, Elizabeth is raised by the York family and is your ex–wife. How could she have a lover?”
