Chapter 75
“Celia?” Samuel’s heart skipped a beat.
“I’ve asked the servants. The statements are the same.”
Samuel’s hand, which was holding the phone, was trembling. He couldn’t believe that the woman he had always loved was such a scheming woman.
“Maybe…” It took him a long time to find his voice. “Maybe she just wants to have a chat with Daisy.”
“Miss Daisy is probably the only one who knows this best! Mr. York, Miss Daisy is innocent. She will tell you everything she knows,”
But Samuel was not in the mood. As soon as the elevator arrived, he went back to the ward and asked Leo to buy supper alone.
He knew Daisy very well. She was a straightforward person who could be used easily.
The answer to this matter was obvious.
“Celia, is it really you?” He thought.
Samuel’s mind was in a mess. He had known Celia for many years, and she had saved his life at that time. He was grateful to her and could not forget what had happened at that time. That girl had risked her life to save him.
How could such a woman be a selfish person?
Which part of it went wrong?
He didn’t dare to question Daisy, for fear that the answer he would get would be the same as the confession of the servants.
When he returned to the ward in a daze, he saw that Elizabeth was chatting happily on her mobile phone. Maybe out of jealousy or some other reason, he walked over and deliberately bumped into her. Elizabeth’s
mobile phone fell far away and rolled to the balcony.
Then came the woman’s furious voice. “Samuel, are you out of your mind?”
Samuel shrugged. “I didn’t do it on purpose.”
“Samuel!” Elizabeth spat out the name with a cold glint in her eyes.
F**k, her phone was a gift from Benson on her birthday last year!
“It’s just a phone. I’ll compensate you with a new one!” Samuel said lightly, not feeling that he was wrong at all.
Her attitude provoked Elizabeth.
“Compensate?”
Samuel couldn’t afford to pay for it at all. Ben had worked as a waiter for a month and bought it for her. She cherished it very much, but it had been ruined by him.
Woo–hoo!
Elizabeth wanted to cry but had no tears. How could she explain it to Benson?
If he couldn’t get in touch with her, he wouldn’t come straight to the Yorks, would he?

Chapter 75
Elizabeth stared at the phone in her hand sadly. Her desperate look made the corners of Samuel’s mouth twitch.
“It’s just a mobile phone. Do you need to show such a gloomy expression?”
“Samuel!” Elizabeth held the phone tightly in her hand, her eyes scarlet. She stood up and looked like she was going to duel with
Samuel.
Samuel looked at her as if she was an idiot. “I said I’d compensate you.”
His tone irritated Elizabeth. She clenched her fists so tightly the they creaked.
Samuel looked at her warily, waiting for her to make a move!
He wanted to see how powerful Elizabeth was and if she could really knock him down!
The atmosphere between the two was tense as if they were in an arena. Even Old Mr. York lying on the hospital bed was eager to watch the show.
“Mr. York, your supper is here.”
As soon as the door of the ward was pushed open, the aroma of all kinds of delicious food wafted over in an instant. Elizabeth, who was ready to go, seemed to have inhaled oil, and her gloomy eyes immediately softened. She looked as if she hadn’t eaten for thousands of years, and only pounced on Leo.
