My Substitute CEO Bride (Nash Calicraft) novel Chapter 1041

Chapter 1041

After all, a parting between life and death was still being played out ahead.

At this time, the rising sun completely emerged over the eastern hills.

The warm sunshine shone on Cassie’s pale face.

She half-squinted her eyes and said in frustration, “I’ve only seen a sunrise twice, and both times were with you.”

Nash put his face against Cassie’s forehead and said softly, “I’ve only

seen a sunrise once!”

The corners of Cassie’s mouth raised slightly. Her eyes then slowly closed.

Nash felt that Cassie’s vitality was quickly dissipating.

He made no more attempts to keep her.

He just closed his eyes and let the silent tears stream down his fac

Now, the surrounding flowers and plants seemed to have lost their original luster.

The grass and trees were shrouded in sadness.

The green hills wept.

Not long after, a white helicopter slowly landed on the grass not far

way

away.

This was the helicopter of the Parasite Colony.

Ishmael looked at Nash walking toward him and said with complicated emotions, “Hand Cassie back to me.”

Nash glanced at Cassie in his arms again before handing her to Ishmael with great heaviness.

Ismael carried Cassie’s lifeless body and strode toward the helicopter.

Callum took a last look at Nash. No words were said as he followed

his father into the helicopter.

The helicopter rose slowly.

Soon, it disappeared into the horizon.

Nash felt the world spinning and then lost consciousness amidst everyone’s exclamations.

On the helicopter flying out of Jonford, Ishmael turned to Callum said, “Take out that soul-eater bug!”

Callum took out a glass bottle from his jacket pocket.

Inside the bottle were bugs transformed from white mist.

The bugs seemed indistinguishable between reality and fiction.

Callum unscrewed the bottle cap. He opened Cassie’s mouth and poured in all the bugs in the bottle. He asked worriedly, “Father, is this method really possible?”.

Ishmael said solemnly, “Other than this, there’s no other way. This is the glimmer of hope that Master Calcraft said!”

Back then, Jonathan Calcraft predicted that Cassie was destined to die.

Therefore, before leaving, he left behind a soul-gathering array and a soul-nourishing chest.

If everything went well, Cassie still had a chance to survive.

Nash woke up three days later at Royal Bay Villa.

When he opened his eyes, he saw that he was lying on Hera’s lap.

Hera was scrolling through her phone. When she saw Nash open his eyes, she exclaimed with joy, “Honey, are you awake?”

Nash stretched out. “How long have been sleeping?”

“Three days!”

“So long?”

It seemed that the magic in the Longevity Technique had drained his true energy and vitality.

Nash remembered that Cassie was gone.
