My Substitute CEO Bride (Nash Calicraft) novel Chapter 1073

Chapter 1073

Nash immediately teleported himself five feet away from Melody, but he still got a mouthful of exhaust.

Nash waved a hand to part the dust from the air and gritted his teeth

as he watched the Porsche drive away.

Melody seemed to be holding a massive grudge against him!

It seemed that the chasm between them had only grown larger after she blamed him for not properly protecting her father.

Nash sighed as he handed his phone to Maria. “I’m going into

seclusion for three days, Maria. No one is allowed to disturb me

before the three days are up!”

“Does this mean you aren’t going to take any food or drink for three days again?”

Maria could not bear to watch that.

Nash smiled slightly. “I’m a martial artist. I won’t get hungry even if I go half a month without consuming anything!”

Maria took some fruits and food ration bars from the fridge. “You

should still take some food with you. Otherwise, Ms. Hera will be

worried!”

After giving it some thought, Nash accepted the food Maria offered

him.

When he entered the living room, he looked upward.

Both Ash and Bertram, who were sitting with their legs crossed at the top of the landing, opened their eyes slightly.

They both nodded their heads slightly.

Nash then headed into the basement.

He felt a wave of excitement wash over him as he gazed at the herbs

in the room.

There were so many herbs that he could not even estimate how many

medicinal pills he would be able to craft!

The journey to Munford should be able to help him attain at least 800 -minor goals.

Harrison and Lauren arrived at the mansion after about two hours.

had passed.

Hera and Melody also returned at the same time they arrived.

Inside the living room, Maria told everyone that Nash had gone i

seclusion once more.

Hera pouted. “Three days… Isn’t that a little too long?”

She had purposely asked in her group chats for tips on pleasing one’s husband as a way of showcasing her gratitude to Nash.

Dozens of links had been sent in that group chat, and she had spent the next hour blushing furiously as she went through them all. In fact, she had been planning to try out several new positions with Nash that evening!

Looks of disappointment also appeared on Harrison’s and Lauren’s faces. However, their worry for Nash was even greater.

Nash always looked so tired whenever he came out of seclusion.

Lauren did not know whether she should be laughing or crying as she said, “Nash helped us out so much, but we didn’t even get to say thank you to him!”

Harrison added, “That’s right. Looks like my wish to get drunk with my

son-in-law won’t be coming true tonight!”

Just then, Maria walked out of the kitchen with Nash’s phone in her

hand. “Mr. Calcraft’s phone is ringing!”

“Who’s calling?” Harrison asked in a low voice.

“Robin Price!”

“The Robin who works at our company?” Lauren asked as she turne

to look at Harrison and Hera.

Both of the their heads at the same time.

It would not make sense for Nash to be in such close contact with an

employee of the company.

“Give me the phone!”

Hera took the phone and answered it.

“Mr. Calcraft!”

“Hera speaking!”

“M-Ms. Hera?”

“Why do you want to speak to Nash?”

“I-It’s nothing!”

Nash had made it clear that Hera was not to know about this matter.

Hera’s voice turned frosty. “The fact that you said nothing’s wrong means that something definitely is wrong!”

Robin chuckled awkwardly. “Really, it’s nothing. I just wanted to invite

Mr. Calcraft for a drink!”

That convinced Hera even further that Robin was keeping something from her, and that he was doing it on Nash’s orders. She chuckled coolly as she said, “So, you aren’t going to tell me, huh? In that case, you don’t have to come in to work tomorrow!”

“Ms. Hera… I…”

Robin panicked.

Hera was the one calling the shots at the branch office.
