My Substitute CEO Bride (Nash Calicraft) novel Chapter 1188

Chapter 1188

“So you’re telling me you randomly picked someone to possess?!”

Nash shouted angrily while simultaneously creating a force field with an energy level at the Mystique Loyalty Realm.

Only Genii disciples from the Northeast could agree to have their bodies possessed by zoomorphic deities.

If an ordinary person were to get possessed, they would no doubt

suffer side effects.

In mild cases, the person would have a fever or fall into a coma. In serious cases, however, the person’s soul and body might be disintegrated.

By randomly possessing an ordinary man, this indicated that the weasel had completely disregarded the value of human life. That was

a great sin.

Feeling the terrifying force emanating from Nash, the weasel sho violently in fear and collapsed to the ground while pleading, “I wa wrong, Master Nash! I swear I won’t do it again. Please spare my life!

It took 500 years of training for a zoomorphic deity to transform into

a man.

That was a very long time, and the weasel simply did not have the

patience.

As such, it was very tempted to shorten its training duration, and one

way to do that was to seek mortal blessings.

However, there were some tricks to it. It would have to ask a human if they looked like a human or a God.

If the human said it looked like a God, the zoomorphic deity would increase its cultivation level, thus shortening its training time.

However, the opposite was true if the human were to say the zoomorphic deity looked like a human.

As such, most zoomorphic deities who sought mortal blessings would use some tricks to disguise themselves to make them look more like humans.

The weasel did the same, but its luck ran out when he ran into Nash. Nash was a Path master, so he saw through its trick instantly.

Hesitating for a moment, Nash waved his hand and said, “Fine. Everybody makes mistakes, and I know you’ve faced challenges during your training. I’ll let it slide this time, but if you ever do this again, I’ll rip your soul into pieces!”

“Thank you, Master Nash! I’m eternally grateful!”

The weasel bowed again repeatedly.

Zoomorphic deities like the weasel were dubbed the Great Immorta and were revered by all.

However, this did not apply to a Path master like Nash. The weasel

knew better.

The force field emanated from Nash was terrifying and comparable

to those of the Greatest Deities. It was so scared that it almost shit

its pants.

It also decided to take its training seriously and never choose the easy way out again.

Seeing the weasel was genuinely remorseful, Nash’s expression softened as he asked, “Why did you end up in the South?”

Genii disciples were typically Northeasterners, as this was all Northeastern folklore.

The folklore centered around the Five Great Immortals-the fox, the weasel, the hedgehog, the snake, and the rat. These zoomorphic deities were only revered in the North because their followers, Genii disciples, mainly resided there. As such, there was a much higher chance for them to receive offerings at temples.

The weasel wailed, “Things are different now, Master Nash! Right after that exorcism ceremony that you attended, an exorcist from the Young family came and started killing our followers one by one!

“He even forbade the establishment of any organizations and sects!

He has killed countless Genii disciples over these last few years

deities like us! As such, we had no choice but to flee North. We

suffering there!”

At one point, the weasel even reached out a chubby paw to wipe aw

its tears.

Its big round eyes were flashing with fear as it recounted the memory

Nash frowned and asked, “Why didn’t they tell anybody anything?”

While this folklore was not believed by many, Nash was sure the Path masters had an alliance agreement with the Five Great Immortals at

one point in time.

Besides, if the Genii disciples were unable to resolve this crisis, they could always seek help from Path masters or a Golden Amulet
