Anderson pulled the trigger, and the bullet pierced through Enzo’s calf. The muscles in Enzo’s face twitched slightly, but he remained 

standing, unmoving. 

“Enzo…” Shanice’s face turned pale as she stood in front of Enzo, 

glaring at Anderson and shouting, “Why did you shoot? 

respected soldiers supposed to protect the country? Why are you oppressing ordinary people like us?” 

Anderson pulled the trigger again. This time, the bullet struck 

Shanice’s shoulder. Her blood splattered everywhere, the warm liquid staining Enzo’s face. 

“Shanice!” Enzo caught Shanice as she fell backward, his eyes turning 

bloodshot. 

Anderson holstered his gun, blew on the muzzle, and casually said, ” Destroy the hotel!” 

His deputy immediately summoned a group of soldiers from outside to wreak havoc in the lobby. 

“E-Enzo… It hurts…” Shanice clutched her shoulder tightly but could not stop the blood flowing through her fingers. 

Enzo pressed his hand down on Shanice’s own that was against the wound, feeling an overwhelming sense of guilt. “I’m sorry… I’m sorry… It’s all my fault. I should’ve agreed with him…’ 

Shanice shook her head. “If you had agreed to him, I would’ve despised you. The boss has been kind to me. We can’t betray him!” 

Enzo took out his phone to call for medical help, but Anderson’s deputy stepped forward and stopped him. 

Enzo sidestepped the deputy and kicked him in the chest. The deputy flew back five meters and landed right at Anderson’s feet.. 

Anderson was furious, cursing the incompetence of his deputy. Then, 

in a cold and merciless tone, he declared, “You dare attack my 

deputy? You’re charged with treason. Execute them on the spot!” 

Four of his soldiers immediately drew their guns, ready to shoot. 

Just then, a thunderous voice interrupted. “How dare you?!” The voice was ear-piercing. Following that, a man in a suit and leather shoes descended from the sky. 

Soon after, several figures landed behind him. 

The soldiers outside in camouflage were dumbfounded. They looked up but saw no aircraft or anything of the sort.
