My Substitute CEO Bride (Nash Calicraft) novel Chapter 1285

Chapter 1285

As such, Isadora was born, but her mother never got the chance to

meet her.

Due to these circumstances, Isadora had been pampered by her

father since the day she was born.

Isaac had a lot of women later in life, but this was because he wanted

Isadora to experience a mother’s love.

The women were all very kind to Isadora, and she was grateful for

that. Her father did not want to have another child with other women,

so they treated Isadora like their own..

Isadora fell silent for a while. Aware of his daughter’s emotions, Isaac’s expression softened as he said, “Hey, I was only giving you some suggestions. I know marriage is one of the most important decisions in life. You get to choose who you want to marry, okay? I won’t have a say in it!”

He then reached for his wine and gulped it down.

Meanwhile, the Borleys had arrived and were walking toward Nash’s

table.

They came in a group of three-Cindel and Hamish leading in front,

followed by Whitebeard trailing behind them.

Lifting his wine glass, Nash smiled at them and said, “Fancy meeting you here!”

Hamish’s expression darkened as he said, “Huh. I never expected

you’d be invited.”

Nash chuckled. “Oh, come on, don’t be like that! Don’t you remember

what I said three days ago?”

Hamish had been supervising the relocation of his ancestor’s grave

for the past few days. He had not been sleeping well because of that,

so he asked in a daze, “Uh… No. What did you say?”

Whitebeard said nonchalantly, “He said he would destroy the

Freemans in three days, so he warned us to stay away from them. He

didn’t want ‘innocents’ to get involved.”

Cindel shook her head and smiled, “Goodness me. Just how naive

can you be? Look at the crowd. Almost every family that supports

the

alliance is here. How could you possibly defeat the Freemans? You’ve

got to be kidding!”

Nash did not want to argue further, so he fell silent and sipped his

wine instead.

“It’s been a long time since we last met, Mr. Calcraft!”

Floret picked up his glass and offered a toast.

Nash smiled and said, “It’s been a long time, indeed. Forgive me, but

why are you guys here? I wasn’t expecting people like you to be

invited.”

The Normans were just an average-class family in Jonford.

Nash reckoned the Freemans would only invite the elite families.

Natalia fixed her gaze on Nash, contemplating whether to tell Nash

the truth.

However, she was worried she might offend Floret.

Natalia did not want to get on Floret’s wrong side as she had been freeloading at his place for some time now.

Putting aside his sexual orientation, Natalia had to admit Floret was a pretty decent guy. He might act cold sometimes, but he would always help those in need.

Keeping a blank expression, Floret replied, “I heard that you’d be attending the ceremony today, so I found a way to get myself an

invitation.”

Nash could not help but feel surprised at his words.
