Lucille took a sip of her milkshake and grabbed another taco.

With red-rimmed eyes, she mumbled, "Being born into a wealthy family means having no right to make decisions for myself. I have no choice but to accept my fate."

Tatiana asked, "What about your brother? He dotes on you so much. Surely, he doesn't agree with the family's decision?"

Lucille bit her lip and said, "It was my brother who proposed this marriage!"

Tatiana clenched her fists. She removed her gloves and dialed Douglas' number.

On the other end, Douglas' deep, magnetic voice answered. "Ms. Tatiana, what can I do for you?"

Tatiana's tone was icy. "Where are you? Come to Remmingville Snack Street right now!"

Douglas paused for a moment and then chuckled. "Sorry, I'm quite busy at the moment."

Tatiana snorted coldly. "Why did you introduce Lucille to another guy?"

"Ms. Tatiana, this is the Lazadar family's matter. Aren't you meddling a bit too much?" Douglas replied, sounding exasperated.

"Lucille is my best friend. Her business is my business!" Tatiana said angrily.

"You're being ridiculous!" Douglas hung up immediately.

Tatiana's face turned bright red with anger. She took out her phone and called her grandfather. "Grandpa Dallas, help me find out where Douglas is."

Dallas seemed to have had a few drinks. He slurred, "What's wrong? Did someone from the Lazadar family bully you?"

"Yes," Tatiana replied.

"Alright, I'll have someone look into it," Dallas said.
