Chapter 35 

Lily propped her head against the car window with one hand and nonchalantly responded with the other: “Do you dare to come?” 

After receiving no response for a long time, Lily put her phone away. She then closed her eyes and leaned against the window. 

Perhaps it was Daniel’s smooth driving that allowed Lily, who usually had trouble sleeping, to actually drift off to sleep 

She was so deeply asleep that Loid had to wake her up. Looking up, she realized they had arrived at Martinez Residence Lily looked at Loid with a hint of surprise. 

A gentle smile played on his lips as he said, “I’m here to handle some business” 

Lily didn’t reply. Just then, her phone buzzed with a notification. She took it out and saw a message from Duncan: “Nope! I don’t dare to come.” 

She didn’t respond to the message and simply put her phone back in her pocket. 

As soon as they got out of the car, Loid naturally took Lily’s hand. Lily didn’t resist, perhaps out of habit, or maybe she enjoyed the warmth of his palm. 

Daniel rang the doorbell. The Martinezes housekeeper, Jenny, opened the door. She was momentarily taken aback by the crowd on the doorstep, including Shannon and Lily. Ms. Martinez, why are you back?” she asked. 

Her eyes then tell on Shaun behind Shannon. “Mr. Knight, you’re here too?” 

She hadn’t seen Loid’s true appearance, so she didn’t greet him 

With jua.coming to the house every day to discuss sending Lilyback, Jenny automatically ignored Lily Lily didn’t mind Jenny’s Indifference. 

“Ms. Lopez, where are my parents?” Shannon’s expression was gloomy. 

“They’re home. Ms. Goldberg and Mr. Martinez are also here- 

Jenny had only said half of her sentence when Susan Interrupted her upon walking over. “Jenny, who is in?” 

Susan’s eyes widened in disbelief when she saw the man standing at the door. “Loid? What brings you here? quick, please come in.” 

Her features stiffened as she turned to Jenny and snapped, “Mr. Laurier is here! Why haven’t you invited him in? Why are you standing here doing nothing?” 

As Loid and his companions entered the house, a wave of belated realization washed over Jenny. Her face turned pale, and she looked visibly shocked. She realized that the person she had dismissed was actually the legendary Lold Laurier. She felt extremely concerned about what to do next. 

The moment the Martinez family beard Loid had arrived, they scrambled to their feet. Each of them was stunned by the sight of him. 

Susan hadn’t told them that Loid’s face wasn’t disfigured, so when they saw him, they were all speechless. Julia was the first to react, inviting Loid to sit down 

Snapping out of their surprise, the rest of the Martinez family members also began to fawn over Loid in various ways, 

Loid sat on the couch with his legs crossed, glancing at the Martinez family members. His cold lips parted slightly as he said in a nonchalant tone, “Don’t bother. I’m not here as a guest” 

The Martinez family members were taken aback by his bluntness and quickly sat down. 

Julia sat in the middle with a strained smile on her face. “Loid, what brought you here so late? 

Her smile faltered when she saw Shannon and Lily return together. A bad feeling gnawed at her. It had to be something Shannon did that offended Loid. This was because only Shannon had brought back her lippage while Lily had none. 

Despite the tension, she forced a smile 

“Earlier today, Susan cut ties with Lily at the hospital. Since the Martinez family has nothing to do with my fiancée anymore, I personally sent your daughter back,” Lold said calmly as he placed one hand on his leg and tapped it slowly
