That afternoon, the story of Lily’s deed appeared on Ember Creek High School’s forum. 

In less than ten minutes, the comment section was flooded with responses. 

“Damn! She has no fear of crossing Mr. Dalton. This new student is awesome!” 

“I’ve lit a candle for her. She’s so dead” 

“She’s so pretty. Why put herself in danger by provoking him? 

Most of the comments were discussing how Jack would punish Lily. However, most people were secretly applauding Lily’s actions. 

Jack had bullied many students in Ember Creek. Yet, since their families were no match for the Dalton family, they could only suffer in silence. Everyone he had bullied was ecstatic that someone had stepped forward to fix him. 

Nevertheless, they were afraid to support Lily openly. After all, Jack would still be at school. No one wanted to be punished by him. 

It was Nancy’s English class in the afternoon. 

The Class 18 students seemed to show little respect for teachers other than John. 

During Nancy’s class, they were noisy and undisciplined. Some were slouching over their desks, sleeping, and others were chatting Only a few were paying attention. 

Nancy was too lazy to bring the students of Class 18 under control either. After teaching in haste for half a period, she assigned some work to the students. 

Having slept too much in the morning, Lily was not tired in the afternoon. She pulled her phone out and played some games. 

While she was playing, a jarring ringtone sounded. Lily’s hand froze. She had forgotten to set her phone to silent 

After glancing at the caller ID, Lily got up “Ms. Hanson, I have to take a call.” 

She was being rather polite. However, it came across as arrogant and brassy to others. 

Nancy looked up from the lectern. Her expression was furious. “This is a classroom, not your home. Do you think you’re free to do as you please? Sit down. If your phone starts ringing again, go stand in the hallway 

Nancy had always despised students of Class 18. Though she couldn’t be bothered to discipline them, she wouldn’t let any of them disrespect her either. 

She thought that since Lily had shown such arrogance on her first day of school, she could not be lenient with her. Otherwise, Lily would get worse. 

Lily withdrew her gaze and tapped a few times on Anya’s chair, asking her to move. 

Anya quickly stood up to let Lily out 

Completely ignoring Nancy, Lily walked out with her phone. 

“You! Come back here!” Nancy was livid. 

The classroom, on the other hand, was in an uproar. 

“How cool! She’s not even afraid to take a call in Nancy’s class.”
