My Wife Act Differently Behind Me novel Chapter 2768

Chapter 2768

"Nicole, I've come to deliver good news," Ellar said with a cheerful smile.

"Wow, that's quick!" Nicole was surprised.

They had discussed the matter in passing last night, and yet, the results were already in.

"Yes, I got the news, so I came over to tell you right away." Ellar proudly handed the documents to Nicole. "Please, take a look!"

Nicole rolled her eyes and grabbed the documents.

After flipping through them, she nodded in approval." Excellent. Keep up the good work. I believe you'll be able to secure the project."

"Although we've only passed the bidding phase this time, I will work hard for the project," Ellar said.

He had invested a great deal of effort into this project, so it was natural for him to hope for a positive outcome.

"You know, for something like this, you could have just faxed it to me. Why bother coming over in person?" Nicole asked after placing the documents down.

"Well, it's quite a big deal for me, so I had to come and inform you in person. Besides, I've already planned to treat everyone to a meal after I won the bidding. I hope you'll all come," Ellar said while giving Patricia an involuntary glance.

Though Ellar had come to deliver documents to Nicole, he was actually here to check on Patricia.

Nicole had assured him yesterday that Patricia was fine, but as he had not seen her, he was not too convinced. It was a concern he had very little control over, so when he received the news this morning, he was ecstatic, and took the opportunity to rush over.

Nicole, who knew what he was up to, was amused by Ellar's actions. His intentions were too obvious.

In addition, Patricia had also noticed what Ellar was up to.

After giving him a resentful glare, she coldly said, "Mr. Riddle? If you're done reporting, you may go back now. I still have work to do."

It was her subtle way of saying, 'You're disturbing me, so I'll appreciate it if you'd just leave.1

Hearing that, Ellar immediately agreed and turned to Nicole. "Hey, urn, I think I'll get going now."
