"Sorry, you're?" Adriana asked.

"Can't you recognise my voice?" The man asked. 

Even though the man's voice sounded young, it still gave Adriana a heavy feeling. 

The voice was both familiar as well as unfamiliar to Adriana. She had heard it before, but a long time ago. At that time, it was also the man who took the initiative to call her, and he only said: "My brother needs a woman who can stay quietly with him. You are a suitable choice."

"Mr. Zellweger?" Adriana hesitated to say the name. 

"Don't be so courteous. You'll soon become Richard's legitimate wife and also my sister-in-law. Just call me Casper."

His polite words didn't evoke even the slightest bit of enthusiasm. 

The man who called Adriana was Casper Zellweger, Richard's younger brother. Before Richard took over the Zellweger Group, Casper was the carefully educated heir by Helena. If it wasn't for the car accident seven years ago, he would be the CEO now.  

"Casper," Adriana braced herself to change the appellation. 

She then said, "Richard went to visit you earlier, but I heard that you're not in good health, so I didn't dare to disturb you."

"It's okay. I don't really like to see outsiders. We'll have plenty of chances in the future."

Casper's indifferent words made her greeting seem a bit unnecessary.

There were used to be many rumours about Casper, which were all buried in the past seven years. The young man who had once been known as a business genius had long become unknown.

The Zellweger family hardly mentioned Casper. Richard would visit him occasionally, but Helena acted as if she didn't have this son. She would be unhappy every time Richard mentioned him. 

Adriana had sent someone to investigate him privately, and the results made her want to avoid Casper even more. 

Depression, aggression, and self-harm. these were all diagnosed by the doctors. He had to change his caretakers several times a month, and many of them were seriously injured at his place. 

Thinking of this, she shivered and said stiffly, "Well, Casper, what can I do for you?"

"Let's meet at 2 pm tomorrow. I have something to talk to you."

"Me... Alone?" Adriana froze for a moment. 

"Yes. Don't tell my brother about it."

"It can't be very appropriate, can it?"

No matter what, he was Richard's younger brother. If Adriana met Casper alone behind his back, it would be terrible if someone saw it and spread rumours. 

"It's not quite good for my brother to know about what happened seven years ago either." Casper sneered.

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Well, you do."

"I'll send you the time and place." Casper then said and hung up the call. 

"Hello?"
