Mysterious Mr.Richard novel Chapter 36

Except the first day, Richard did not appear on set for the rest of the week. 

Pearl gradually believed that it was just a coincidence to meet him on her first day at work. She was relieved and a little disappointed, but she had no time to think more. The job of medical consultant of the crew was not as easy as expected.

Evelina always made things difficult on purpose. Whenever she was free, she would mock Pearl.Besides, she was the heroine of the crew, everyone revolves around her. Even though she didn't cause trouble to Pearl, the crew stayed far away from her, and no one talked to her.

Whether in work or life, being isolated for a long time is an unpleasant thing.

After lunch, Pearl went to the bathroom to with the resting food. She saw Evelina washing her hands at the sink when she was at the door. She frowned but still walked in.

After throwing food container into the bin, she calmly walked to the sink to wash her hands.

Evelina glanced at her and snorted, "You're tough. It's been a week, and nobody talked to you. How can you even stay here?"

"I'm here for work, not friends. so I don't care if they ignore me." Pearl washed her hands with soap carefully. She glanced at Evelina and reminded, "Medical staffs must follow the seven steps of handwashing strictly. Audiences pay attention to these details."

Evelina looked at her hands subconsciously. There was still foam on her hands because she rubbed nonchalantly. She was annoyed at the moment. "Now it's not a filming. Stop attacking me for every single thing."  

Pearl calmly washed her hands, straightened up and looked at her, "Evelina, you still can't tell the good and bad words of others as you were a child."

Pearl turned around to leave didn't argue with Evelina.

For the whole week, Evelina had tried all kinds of means to find fault. In her opinion, it was childish, including isolating people around her.

"Stop there." Evelina turned around and shouted, "what I hate most is your lofty appearance of knowing everything. I don't care who you are and what background you have. As long as I'm still the heroine of the play, I won't let you stay comfortably in front of me and teach me what to do."

"Evelina, I don't understand why you're being so hostile. We're sisters,  I don't think I've done something bad to you." Pearl frowned and glanced at Evelina. 

After coming back, Evelina's sudden hostile behavior made her confused.

"You don't understand?" Evelina sneered, her eyes suddenly became cold. "Of course you don't understand. You had been the center of the world since you were a child. How could you understand others."

 There was a voice from outside, "Miss Evelina, we will start soon!" 

Evelina did not continue to say. She glared at Pearl and left hurriedly.

Looking at Evelina's back, Pearl scowled.

It was already afternoon, and the hot sun was shining on the whole of Kityall City.

The light reflected by the high-rise buildings almost made people dare not look up. The urban heat island effect made the ground hot like an iron. People on the zebra crossing rushed into those air-conditioned shops or office buildings.

In the hall of the office building, two delicate children attracted the attention of many people as soon as they came in.

The little girl was about seven or eight years old. She was wearing a red suspender skirt, and her dark eyes were bright like grapes. When she entered the door, she looked at this place curiously. She is lovely and makes people want to pinch it. Her little face was red from the heat. She was so lovely that everyone wanted to pinch her cheeks. 

A boy was following behind her. He was wearing a simple white T-shirt and a pair of shorts. No like a kid, he was calm, pursed his thin lips, and didn't look at anything except the little girl.

"Brandon, Is it here? Daddy's office."

Brandon frowned. It seemed that he didn't like Bonny call him "Daddy", but he did not retort.

The receptionists saw that they had been standing in the lobby for a while. Then one of them, a young girl walked to them.

"Hi, who are you looking for?"

Bonny turned around and smiled at her. She blinked her eyes and said sweetly, "Hello, pretty!"
