Helena's words like a basin of cold water poured on Pearl's head. Until today, she could still remember clearly a cup of cold water that Helena had poured to her face at the cafe opposite her university.  

Pearl clenched her fist and turned around witha cold hiss. "Mrs. Zellweger, since you know everything so well, you should have known that the Yonng family kicked me out. The Yonng family has nothing to do with me now, why should I care about your words?"     

"Even your father?"

"My father didn't regard me as his daughter any more. Your words mean nothing to me. "

Helena almost couldn't believe what she heard. "I can't believe Richard fell for such an unfilial and cold-blooded woman like you!"   

Pearl kept the same face as if nothing could affect her. "Mrs. Zellweger, I have no interests in your son at all. You don't have to threaten me. The same man never crossed the same river twice. I understand it very well."  

Leaving that, she left the parking lot without looking back.

Until the elevator was slowly closed, Pearl suddenly grabbed the handrail for support. Her face suddenly turned pale, and her lips were white.   

She knew Mrs. Zellweger very well.

Seven years ago, in order to force Richard inherit the Zellweger Group, Henela went to school directly to humiliate her. At that time, she endured it because she was Richard's mother. But she demanded her to break up with Richard, which was something would never happen.

Also because of this, Mrs. Zellweger hated her very much, even now.

Pearl did not return to the filming crew after she left the parking lot. She called the crew to take a day off and took a bus back to the city. As soon as she got home, she plunged into the bedroom and closed the door.

In the living room, Bonny was squatting in front of the refrigerator to get ice cream. When she saw Pearl suddenly come back,  she was scared to death, but Pearl went straight into her bedroom, ignoring her.    

She looked at Brandon.

"Brandon, why did Mommy come back so early?"

"I have no idea." Brandon frowned slightly. He looked at the closed door and said thoughtfully, "Mommy seems to be in a bad mood."   

"Then I won't eat ice cream." Bonny put the ice cream back into the refrigerator silently.

"Not because of you."

"Then for what?"

"Probably the work. Mommy looks so tired recently. Bonny, don't run out often. Don't bother Mommy."   

Bonny sighed deeply like an adult, "Well, I want Mommy be happy."  

After that, she stared at the door thoughtfully, and her dark eyes sparkled like the stars.

In the bedroom, Pearl was lying down on her pillow, and her mind was in a mess for a second and blank for another second.

Mrs. Zellweger was only a small reason for her breaking up with Richard, which was almost insignificant.

Back then, she was still young and naive, and she felt that nothing could stop love. Since she was in love with Richard, no one could stop her, even Mrs. Zellweger.

So even though Mrs. Zellweger humiliated her by pouring that glass of water on her face, she firmly said that she would not break up with him.

Where was her courage? It seemed to be gone now.

"Then how about Daddy?"

Pearl was stunned and did not know how to answer it for a moment. Her face turned dark.

"Bonny, why did you come in and bother Mommy?" The voice of Brandon came from the door. It was not harsh, but a little spoiled and helpless.

Bonny stretched her neck and looked at the door. Then she raised the candy in her hand, "Brandon, I'm giving some candy to Mommy. She feels better now."    

"Okay, you've given Mommy candy. Let's go out now." Brandon had no choice but to say, 

"Well." Bonny usually listened to Brandon. She could also tell that Pearl was not in her good mood, so she did not want to bother her anymore. Before leaving, she said, "Mommy, I want to eat the noodles you cooked. Can we have that tonight?"

Pearl was a little stunned. Nobody knew better than herself how bad her noodles tasted. 

Bonny was trying to comfort her in her ways.

"Of course, I just need to rest for a moment. Then, we'll go out to the supermarket to buy some groceries to make dinner."

"Okay, let's make a deal."

"Okay, Make a deal."

Bonny left Pearl's room unwillingly, after they made a deal. 

Brandon was closing the door behind Bonny, he said, "Mommy, Ethan called in the afternoon and said that he couldn't connect you, so he asked you to call him back when you were free."
