I’m not scared of you.” She carried herself like a queen, and her commanding presence sent chills down Bernard’s spine. He realized that his slamming the table had little effect. He felt completely at a loss, unsure of what to do next. 

Selina said, “There’s an old saying that loving parents often spoil their kids. You’re a perfect example of that. Do you really think it’s something to be proud of that your son is a gambler who relies on his parents and does nothing but gamble? And you had the nerve to slam your hand on the table in front of me Honestly, I’m ashamed for you.” 

Bernard said, “But… But you shouldn’t have asked people to cut off David’s hand. If—”
