Seeing that Quinton and others returned, Asliley immediately approached with tears, saying “Daddy, Mommy, Manuel, please… Please talk to Lloyd. If he continues like this, something really bad might happen.” 

“Calm down, Ashley,” Quinton soothed Ashley’s emotions and looked then at Lloyd. He said, “Lloyd, I never interfered with what you did before because I trusted your character and abilities. Lloyd comforted her. “Ashley, it has nothing to do with you. Don’t take it to heart. Instead, I think this is a good opportunity. Ever since I lost to Selina at Ravencrest Mountain, I’ve been thinking about racing her again. If I go back to the racing circle in Mumzik with this mindset, I won’t be able to compete as I used to. This is a choice I have to make to surpass myself.” 

“But Lloyd…” Sara wanted to say something, but Quinton interrupted. “Ahem, since Lloyd has made his choice and given us a reason, Sara, I think we should let them decide for themselves. They have a long life ahead of them, and having a good mindset is crucial.”

After saying that, Manuel ignored everyone’s gazes and went upstairs directly. Ashley was stunned. ‘Sure enough, Manuel has started to care about Selina!‘ she thought. 

In fact, she had sensed feeling for a long time. From the way Manuel spoke, she could tell he was beginning to feel guilty towards Selina and started treating her like his own sister. She even had the feeling that Manuel valued Selina more..
