“Selina, you… you dare hit me! Lisa came back to her senses and felt the burning sensation on her face. Her eyes turned red, and tears began to fall. 

As the little princess of the Brady family, no one had ever dared to slap her. Even Trevon, whom Lisa feared most, would at most spank her bottom. 

“Why can’t I? Identity–wise, I’m your cousin–in–law. Every word you said was to humiliate me, so me hitting you is just a light punishment. I’ve warned you before but you’re still so stubborn. Fine, spoiled young lady. If you want revenge, I’ll play with you. Come on.” Selina provocatively hooked her finger at Lasa. Lisa, who had just been slapped, couldn’t stand such provocation. She rushed forward aggressively but was easily tripped by Selina and fell flat on her face. 

“Lisa” Herbert rushed over and helped Lisa up. Seeing that her calf was bleeding, he glared at Selina. “Selina, don’t go too far! This is the Brady residence, not the Brady manor. Do you think I’m dead? How dare you bully my sister like this?” 

Selina said, “Alright, Herbert. If you want to avenge your sister, I’ll give you this chance to fight me right here. I believe in not dragging out things we can solve with our fists. Herbert was speechless as he fumed inwardly. ‘Enough is enougli. Since she already said so, what kind of brother and man would I be if I still held back after seeing Lisa get beaten up like this? 

He instantly rushed to fight Selina. The result was predictable. Selina knocked him down without even trying. Herbert gasped heavily and felt pain all over his body. Although fighting wasn’t Herbert’s strong suit, the Brady family members must learn basic life–saving techniques. But why was there such a big gap in strength between him and Selina? Lisa mumbled, “Herbert…” She was dumbfounded, as even Herbert was no match for Selina. She wondered, ‘Are we really going to be humiliated and trampled on by Selina today? She already dares to be so unruly in the Brady residence. What more will she do in the future? This wasn’t only for Ashley anymore, but also for Lisa to regain her dignity. 

“What happened?” an angry voice asked. 

Hearing the voice, Linda seemed to hear salvation and hurriedly shouted, “Dad, we’re here!” 

A burst of strength shot through Lisa as she got up and threw herself into Keith’s arms. She cried, “Dad, that woman….. Trevon’s wife dared to hit me and Herbert. Look at how she hit my face.” 

Keith’s heart broke to see Lisa’s red and swollen face. He only had the one daughter who was conceived in his old age. He had doted on her since her childhood and never dared lay a finger on her. 

He fumed, “Selina, you’re bold. Do you think everyone here is dead? You think you’re allowed to do whatever you want? Don’t think you can hurt others just because Trevon married you!” 

Selina said, “Don’t be angry, Uncle Keith. Won’t you let me explain first before you sentence me to death?” 

She took out her phone and pressed the play button. The conversation between her and Lisa started playing clearly, Lisa was stunned. “You… You secretly recorded us?” 

“Of course. Keeping evidence is the first way a normal person would think to avoid complications.” Selina looked at Keith with a faint smile. “Uncle Keith, I warned your precious daughter not to spout nonsense in front of me again, but she didn’t listen. She had to stick her neck out for her best friend and tarnish my reputation for no reason. In the Brady family, she may be the apple of everyone’s eve everyone may spoil her, but I won’t do the same.”

“What explanation do you want, Uncle Keith?” a cold voice interrupted. 

Trevon quickly came to Selina’s side and checked if she was safe. “Are you okay, honey?” 

Selina replied, “It’s not a big deal. These people can’t hurt me.”
