Chapter 223
“What?” Lucas barely had time to process before Quinton abruptly ended the call
“Honey, are you okay! Let me get someone to drive you to the hospital” Quinton offered.
“No need Darling. I’m not as fragile as you think,” Sara reassured, a bitter smile playing on her lips as she nestled in Quinton’s arms. “I should have sera this couring. When Mr. Turner told me I was deceiving myself, is all started to click. No wonder Joseph and the rest seemed so off today, even reaching out to mar.”
“Perhaps there’s some sort of misunderstanding. How could Selina be that herbalist from the past? She’s too young, and she’s never mentioned anything like that Quinton pointed out
“There’s a lot more that Selina has kept hidden. If she hadn’t slipped up, with the way we saw her, we’d never have guessed she was Angel, Flying Shadow, Meteorite Queen, or even the lead guitarist of The Rose, Sam argued, leaving Quinton at a loss for words,
“What a cruel twist of fate! After all these years of searching for my savior, I found out she was my lost daughter, only to lose her again. How can i possibly repay her, Darling?” Sara lamented.
“She doesn’t deserve anything from us. She has severed ties with the Harvey family. After all, we gave her life, and she chose to leave us behind – her family, her parents. She saved you, and you brought her into this world. That makes you even.” Quinton declared.
Tused to believe that too, Darling, but not anymore. Yes, I gave birth to Selina, but I lost her when she was barely a month old. She never knew the warmth of a family’s love. I could have claimed that giving birth to Selina was enough to repay her kindness. I wanted to believe that welcoming her back into the Harvey family as a wealthy lady would settle the debt, but after she saved my life, how could I possibly think that was enough?” Sara ered as she spoke.
Quinton’s heart ached at the sight of her tears, so he continued to comfort her, not caring to bring up Selina again.
Once Sara had calmed, she nestled against Quinton’s chest and murmured, “Darling, I know Selina saved my life, but please keep this from the kids. They went to great lengths to shield me from feeling guilty about her. Let them have their way.”
“Honey, are you sure you’re okay? If you need anything, just tell me. I’m here, your husband, always ready to protect you,” Quinton reassured her After years by his beloved’s side, he could feel that Sara was putting on a brave front, as if she were just trying to hold it together
“Til bene, Darling. For now, let’s pretend we don’t know anything” Sara proposed, settling into Quinton’s embrace with a determined look.
On the other side, Lydia, who had been tracking Bryan and Ashley, stumbled upon the startling news through her eavesdropping. Uncertain whether to share it with Selina, she found herself lingering outside Selina’s room for ten minutes, lost in thought
The door swung open abruptly, and the bright–eyed Selina popped out, asking, “Lydia, why haven’t you knocked! You’ve been outside for a while. What are you thinking about?”
“Selina…” Lydia began, but Selina immediately sensed something was amiss as she looked into Lydia’s eyes. She gently ushered Lydia into the room. poured a glass of water for her, and sat quietly beside her, waiting for Lydia to speak.
Lydia understood that Selina was allowing her time to decide whether to share the news. If Lydia chose not to speak, Selina wouldn’t press her. Gently touching Selina’s face, Lydia murmured, “Selina, you’re as kind and understanding as ever.”
Selina’s lin
lips curved into a warm smile as the responded, “Naturally. It’s because you mean the world to me, Lydia
Tve been debating whether to tell you this since I don’t think you know. But on second thought, I shouldn’t keep it from you. Lydia said with resolve and proceeded to share what she had overheard. The revelation left even Selina in shock
‘Sara, of all people, placed an order on Dark Web Selina thought, her head shaking in mild astonishment. “What a small world we live in”
Selina held no regrets about saving Sara. After all, Sara had brought Selina into the world. Without Sara, there would be no Selina Regardless of everything, Sara remained her biological mother
But now, Selina was resolved not to repeat her previous mistakes. The debt she once owed to the Harvey family had long since been buried under their continuous mistreatment. Should anything happen to them in the future, she would stay out of it entirely.
Tve imagined how you might respond to this news, and you seem surprisingly calm, Selina. I trust you’re not just putting on a brave face, even though I’m unclear about your history with the Harvey family. Think of this as settling your debt to Sara completely. I hope it offers you some relief Lydia remarked
Thank you, Lydia. I’ve realized what truly n

to me now,” Selina replied, wrapping Lydia in a tight hug.
Meanwhile, Carl continued to sift through the data. He is a cigarette and inhaled deeply, letting our a resigned sigh
Carl wished the live broadcast from Cherry Blossom Manor could stretch a bit longer to showcase Selina saving Lucas herbalist. The performance ratings for Selina and Lydia had exereded all expectations, and any new truths uncovered could send the rings skyrocketing
