Sara knew she was in escape mode, avoiding everything she should face as a mother. Furthermore, knowing that Selina had saved her life, she had to conceal this truth in from of her sons since she understood that they were keeping it from her for her own good. She didn’t want to cause them any more worry when they already had enough issues to deal with. 

However, Selina refused to forgive Sara and went against her on every occasion, as if Sara’s current actions were wrong. Sara didn’t know what she could do to earn Selina’s forgiveness and agreed to return to the Harvey residence. She swore inwardly, ‘I’ll do my best to treat Selina like she’s my own daughter and won’t let her suffer anymore. 

The day had passed after Cora took Sara out for fun, leaving her with no time to check her phone. During this time, Cora borrowed Sara’s phone several times, claiming that her battery had run out and she needed to reply to a message. 

Sara noticed Cora behaving strangely as if something had happened. But when she asked Cora, the latter would avoid the questions. Her instincts told her something was awry. She returned to the room, turned on her phone, and searched for it. Yet, she discovered nothing alarming. She then video–called Quinton 

This time, Quinton was 20 seconds late answering the phone. In the past, when Sara called, he would answer the phone immediately, be unable to answer because he was in the shower, or even video call her first 

Sara asked, “Darling, it’s so late now. Are you still in the company?”

Cora was applying a facial mask when she heard the noise outside the door and walked out cursing. When she saw the anxious Sara, her heart skipped a beat in surprise, and she asked, “W–What is wrong! Sara, you look so anxious” 

Anxious, Sara pressed, “Cora, were you aware Ashley was injured all along?” 

Cora remained silent, unsure of how to respond. 

Sara comprehended everything when she saw Cora’s expression and remembered her strange behavior that day. She scolded, “Cora, are you Insane! That’s my daughter. How could you have kept this from me? I have to go back to see Ashley immediately 

“Alas Sara, Joseph didn’t want me to tell you because he was afraid you would be worried. The media reported all sorts of nonsense. Ashley had accidentally fallen down the stairs, but everyone was so concerned that they rushed her to the hospital. Their actions had misled the media, causing the news to become exaggerated.” 

Sara insisted. “Even so, I have to see Ashley for myself to feel at ease. I already lost Selina and can’t afford to lose Ashley again. I just can’t! I want to go back now.” Then, she hurried back to her room. 

Cora cursed, “Damn it! Who told Sara about this? That’s bad. I have to inform joseph…” 

After receiving a call from Cora, Joseph realized he couldn’t hide it any longer. He sighed and said, “I understand, Mrs. Chark. Thank you. Please come back with Mom.
