Chapter 63
Trevon júst loved it when Selina fearlessly dealt with scum, trying out various fresh methods.
The more Trevon discovered about Selina, the more he found himself unable to look away, feeling a sense of joy that kept him captivated.
In this world, the only woman who could give Trevon such feelings was this contractual wife.
The once dull and boring life was lit up since he picked up this wife.
Selina loved Trevon’s thoughtfulness. Even though she knew their marriage was just a one–year contract. But Trevon was just too good at handling things.
What Selina loved most about Trevon was that he supported what she liked and took care of things she didn’t like beforehand. Even when Selina was dealing with scum, even if it was someone related to Trevon, he applauded her actions instead of obstructing her. How could she find such a perfect husband elsewhere?
Thinking of this, Selina couldn’t help but tiptoe and pat Trevon’s cheek, saying, “Good boy!”
Not only did Trevon pause for a moment, but even Charley who caught a glimpse of it couldn’t help but exclaim “Holy crap!” Just now, Charley was crazily baiting Edwin and chuckling. He didn’t have time to record this scene.
Then he felt a pang of heartache. ‘Oh, fuck! I was so busy teasing Edwin that I forgot to record it.
If Selina’s actions and Trevon’s expression were captured, it would definitely be a super hit. In their circle of rich second- generation, it would be incredibly sought–after. Putting it on the trending topics would directly cause a sensation, even paralyzing some.
Trevon smiled, “Should I be happy or not with your praise?”
Selina replied, “Honey, when I’m flattering you, of course you should be happy. As you said, when you act, you have to go all out. I always adhere to my role as your wife.”
Because Selina was so pleased with Trevon’s performance, her attitude towards him also softened considerably, and even joking around with him.
Perhaps… Selina needed to move on from the sorrow of her past life, seeking to encounter more and more beautiful things and companions rather than being bound by the abyss of hatred and becoming a complete madwoman.
This was also the significance of Selina having what others dream of–a “second chance at life.”
“Then I should be happy. As for adhering to the role of my wife. Trevon said.
“Do you want to say that I’m not cooperative enough? As for these scums, they provoked me first and deserved the consequences. I’m not a sadist with violent tendencies,” Selina replied.
“No, you did a good job. As my wife, you can’t be a weakling. If you’re bullied, you should fight back yourself, no matter what consequences follow. I’ll help you handle it.” Trevon’s smiles deepened.
In the eyes of outsiders, Selina’s behavior might not fit the image of a lady from a prestigious family. She might not be qualified enough to be Mrs. Brady. And she might seem out of place in Sokovis’s top–tier society.
But… Trevon liked it, and that was enough.
The one married to Trevon was Selina, not anyone else. He had the right to have the final say, and no one could disobey
him.

Chapter 63
After resolving the matter, Selina wanted to say goodbye to the members of The Rose before driving back with Trevon. However, when she took out her phone, she found that Lydia had sent a message twenty minutes ago, saying that they had already left with Elaine.
Selina quickly called back, feeling a bit unhappy. “Lydia, why didn’t you say goodbye to me before leaving?”
“Ahem…Trevon was there, and you two were emitting such a strong aura of affection that could kill single people. What could I do? I was desperate, too!” Lydia let out a soulful cry.
Selina replied, “Lydia, you know very well what my real relationship with Trevon is. Please don’t make such jokes.”
Lydia said, “Selina, I know, but every time I see you and Trevon together, I can’t help but feel that you’re quite compatible. Of course, I think no man in this world is worthy of you. If Trevon ever dares to have feelings for you, I’ll be the first to disapprove.”
Selina couldn’t help but freeze. ‘Are Trevon and I really compatible when we are together?‘
To be honest, Trevon would support every decision she made. As long as Trevon was there, Selina could do whatever made her happy without considering the consequences. No matter how big the trouble was, Trevon would always help her clean
Their relationship was merely contractual, mutual assistance.
Why would Lydia have such strange thoughts? Selina wondered.
After sending the girl back and tidying up the mess, Selina left with Trevon.
Charley, who had been spectating until the end, finally had the mood to pick up Edwin’s relentless calls. He muttered to himself, “Edwin, you won’t believe what I just saw. Damn, I’m so excited…”
“Charley! If you keep teasing me and keeping me in suspense, I’ll kill you tomorrow!” Edwin warned.
“Waaah…” Charley could only pretend to be crying.

Selina returned to the villa with Trevon.
Along the way, Selina was unusually quiet.
When it was time to get off the car, she still hadn’t come to her senses.
“What are you thinking about?” Trevon’s voice suddenly sounded from very close by, exploding like fireworks.
Selina came back to her senses and sniffed. She could smell the pleasant scent of the man.
“Nothing,” Selina shook her head and got out of the car.
The night breeze in the manor brushed against her body, making her feel a bit chilly even in the summer.
Only then did Selina feel much better.
Her mind was still being haunted by Lydia’s words.
In the eyes of others, Selina and Trevon were a perfect match.
Even so, Selina was acutely aware… they were just a one–year contractual marriage, playing the roles of fake husband and wife for their own purposes.
