Chapter 65
When Trevon was about to leave, Selina appeared late.
Aware of her own fault, Selina, wearing slippers, took the initiative to approach Trevon and sweetly said, “Honey, have a safe trip to work.”
Trevon reached out and touched Selina’s slightly damp hair, catching a faint fragrance as he did so. “What are you busy with? Why don’t you have breakfast on time?”
“Well, I promised Lydia that I would do some designs. I ended up getting busy and lost track of time. But it’s okay, I’ll make sure to eat on time from now on, and you focus on work and earning money to support our family,” Selina replied,
Selina adhered to the terms of her contract with Trevon, showing a loving couple image in front of the maids in the manor. However, this time, Selina couldn’t help but sense a change in Trevon’s gaze.
But she couldn’t tell exactly what had changed.
Trevon’s eyes were slightly lit up. “Design… Honey, you really are talented. You play the violin, you’re good at fighting, you can be the lead guitarist of an underground rock band, and you’re bold enough to handle even my aunt’s family. What else don’t I know about you?”
“Well, honey, don’t praise me too much. Hurry off to work,” Selina replied.
Selina didn’t want to reveal too much in front of Trevon. A man like him could easily uncover all of Selina’s secrets.
Even though Selina thought highly of Trevon, she still wanted to maintain some of her own secrets in their cohabitation status. She didn’t want too much of her space occupied.
Trevon saw through her and said, “Honey, my tie is a bit loose. Could you straighten it for me?”
“Sure…” Selina replied.
Because Trevon was twenty centimeters taller than Selina and didn’t bend down, Selina had to get close to him to adjust his tie. She meticulously adjusted the tie, her fingertips touching Trevon’s blue patterned tie.
Inadvertently lifting her gaze, she could see Trevon’s sharp jawline and the prominent Adam’s apple symbolizing male features.
Each swallow made his Adam’s apple subtly move, emanating a pleasant scent of men’s cologne, which was alluring.
Fortunately, Selina had strong willpower and wasn’t easily swayed by his charm. She simply admired Trevon’s handsome appearance as she finished tying the tie. Just as she was about to speak, Trevon suddenly leaned backward, causing Selina, who was standing too close while holding his tie, to lose her balance and fall into his arms with a soft thud.
“Honey, are you okay?” Trevon asked.
Trevon elegantly placed his arm around Selina’s waist, with just the right amount of restraint, showing no hint of excess, and asked with genuine concern.
It was the epitome of “innocence” in every sense.
Even Selina couldn’t spot any flaws.
“I just lost my balance. I’m fine, honey. Your tie is done. Go to work,” Selina replied.
“Okay…” Trevon said.

Chapter 65
Trevon opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but then closed it again and turned around and left the villa.
Selina couldn’t help but feel a slight shock. Was it just her imagination?
The of Trevon’s lips just now…
‘Was he saying the words “morning kiss“?
‘Ahem!
‘I must have misinterpreted it.’
Devin stood behind, secretly watching, and a fatherly smile appeared on his face.
“Finally… Mr. Brady can laugh.” Devin said.
Devin made up his mind secretly. For Trevon, who had finally shown some humanity, he, as Trevon’s steward for so many years, was determined to assist him properly. He was determined to make sure that Selina would stay.
When Selina returned to the dining room for breakfast, Devin walked in. “Mrs. Brady, do you need any assistance?”
Selina smiled faintly as she ate her sandwich. “Thank you, Devin. I can manage it myself.”
Devin rolled his eyes and pretended to sigh lightly with a hint of frustration. “Mrs. Brady, it seems like Mr. Brady wasn’t in a very good mood during breakfast today.“.
This statement indeed aroused Selina’s curiosity. “Really? Why?”
“Perhaps it’s because you didn’t have breakfast with Mr. Brady. He loves you deeply. Since you came to the manor, you have breakfast together every day. In the past, due to busy work, Mr. Brady rarely had breakfast at the manor. He usually grabbed something at the office.”
Selina didn’t reply.
She was stunned.
She thought that although Trevon was enthusiastic about his work, as the head of the Brady family, he naturally had to be hands–on and work diligently to avoid being pulled down from his throne by those who coveted his position. However, Trevon was supposed to understand the principle of working more efficiently when well–fed.
But it turned out that only after Selina arrived at the villa that Trevon, in order to play along with the act of a loving couple, pretended to obediently have breakfast on time.
“It’s the first time I’ve seen Mr. Brady like this. Mrs. Brady, you are very important to him. Ah, I just remembered I have something to attend to. Mrs. Brady, I’ll take my leave now,” Devin said.
Devin didn’t say much. As a steward, he knew that the biggest taboo for him was to interfere in the affairs of his master. Most of the time, he pretended not to know anything. It was best to focus on his duties.
However, having served Trevon for many years, and seeing him show such affection for Selina, Devin couldn’t bear to see him lose her. He couldn’t resist giving a little push.
After Devin left, Selina ate the last sandwich and drank milk, not overly romanticizing any thoughts about whether Trevon truly had any extra feelings for her. Men of his status and position had encountered countless stunning women. They had developed immunity long ago.
In just one year, with a contractual marriage and cohabitation, there could be many variables while living together. But Selina had decided to follow the path that made her happy. In this lifetime, she wanted to do everything with joy and without worrying about others‘ opinions.
