“Timothy, sorry, I just don’t want to talk about this right now, and…” Manuel glanced at the trophy he had earned from the jewelry design contest, saying, “I want my talents to contribute to the Harvey Group.
Before, Timothy had shown his appreciation for Manuel’s design talent and had invited him to join Clark Jewelry, an invitation Manuel had declined. The Harvey Group might not have plans to develop a jewelry design subsidiary at the moment, but the Harvey family was close–knit. United as one, they were like limbs to a body–unbreakable in their bonds and resolute against any harm befalling one another. Manuel’s talent, no matter how coveted by the Clark family, could not be wielded to become an unstable factor for the Harvey family.
“Manuel, I know your family stands united. I didn’t push before, but this time, it’s very important to me. And it is equally important for you–you want to meet Angel, don’t you?” Timothy pressed
At the mention of the name “Angel” Manuel, who had been in a slump, suddenly lit up. “You’ve contacted Angel?”
Angel was a name everyone in the jewelry design industry knew–an icon from the moment they emerged, making historical waves with their debut masterpiece that became a global trendsetter and a favorite among the nobility. Subsequent collections became sought–after treasures for the wealthy and influential. With an inexhaustible well of ideas, every single creation was a testament to extraordinary craftsmanship, making it impossible to pick a favorite. Shrouded in mystery, no one had ever glimpsed Angel’s true face–it wasn’t even known whether they were male or female!
Manuel was a die–hard fan of Angel. To say that his interest in jewelry design was sparked by seeing the limited edition pieces that Sara and Ashley had bought would be an understatement. The sheer creativity and vitality of the designs had left Manuel, a man among men, utterly astounded. He longed to create unique pieces just like Angel’s.
“With Mr. Harvey’s assistance, I’ve reached out to Angel. But securing a partnership with them requires that we win the championship at the jewelry design contest in Sokovis next week. And our biggest competitor there will be Brilliance, led by Trevon. Even though Selina is nothing more than a trophy wife used by Trevon for show, she is, after all, Trevon’s lawfully wedded wife. With all these new grievances piling onto old ones Timothy revealed.
There was no need for Timothy to continue. Manuel got the picture entirely. T
This was a vendetta!
Together, Manuel and Timothy would lead the Clark Jewelry to defeat Trevon’s Brilliance, and, in the process, secure a aboration with Angel. Then, they’d have the perfect opportunity to mock Selina and Trevon, showing that even the youngest heir of the Brady family and a Forbes–ranked billionaire was nothing to speak off
Tempted by the opportunity to win and meet his idol, even the resolute Manuel couldn’t help but be stirred. “Give me a night to think about it. Timothy.”
“Ill wait for your answer, Manuel. I know you’ll make the right choice,”
After hanging up the phone, Manuel stepped out onto the balcony for a smoke. As he took a deep drag of his cigarette, exhaling the final ring of smoke, he stubbed it out in the ashtray. In his eyes, a decision was made.
In the next day, as Selina shared breakfast with Trevon, her mind was still occupied with plotting against Timothy, Just then, Trevon spoke up unexpectedly. “Honey, in six days, there’s going to be a jewelry design contest in Sokovis, and Clark Jewelry is participating.
“Huh? What about it?” Selina was taken aback, wondering why Trevon would mention this out of the blue. She wondered if she had inadvertently given something away,
“Don’t you think it’s a perfect opportunity for some payback?” Trevon continued. “Brilliance is also competing in this contest. If you’re interested, I can get you a spot. Each company can send two contestants.”
“But honey, do you seriously think I can design?” she questioned with a smirk.
“Honey, I think you’re capable of anything. Trevon affectionately placed a piece of sausage on her plate.

Selina cut the sausage into Eye bits and forked one up to Trevon’s mouth, her cheeks propped in her palm, “Thanks for the compliment. Refusing now would make me seem unworthy of being Trevon’s wife, wouldn’t it? Maybe… I’ll give it a try
Trevon was surprised by her straightforward response; it was unexpected. He thought, ‘Could I really be overthinking things Just then, her phone rang, but maybe I was mistaken. After all, that’s a default ringtone common to many phones
But a smirk crept onto Trevon’s lips as he willingly ate the piece of sausage from Selina’s hand, “Well then, I’m looking forward to seeing how awesome my wife can be.”
Even if Selina wasn’t Angel the prospect of discovering more of his superstar wife’s hidden talents was indeed a treat.
