Chapter 90
“She said she wanted to interact with you all like any other person, so she chose not to reveal that she’s my wife. But after. this design review, you should be able to see how talented my wife really is.”
“Mr. Brady, L…” Derrick was speechless.
Derrick’s hand holding the phone was shaking a bit and thought What? Is this something I’m allowed to know? Maybe it’d be better to wait for Trevon to officially announce it. Then I coull be just as surprised as everyone else. Such a big secret. now in my hands–if I accidentally leaked it, would Trevon hunt me down?
Derrick’s mind raced through countless terrible possibilities.
“Another thing.” Trevon continued, “send me a photo of Selina’s design drafts. I want to appreciate them myself. But don’t tell her I asked for them and I don’t want to make her angry!
Right as Derrick gathered his thoughts to speak, Trevon had already hung up.
Leaving a bewildered Derrick in the wake.
“Madge. I just remembered something urgent came up. I need to go now. Oh, and I need to take photos of the drafts for the. boss upstairs, Derrick called out.
“Let’s have lunch together and talk about Selina, Madge said to Derrick.
Next time, Madge. It’s really an emergency. Bye.”
Derrick bolted out of there.
All he wanted now was a moment alone–not in the mood for social lunches.
Trevon soon received the photos from Derrick. Trevon looked at Selina’s design drafts, zooming in and out, spending a good ten minutes, and a mysterious smile spread across his face.
“Honey, how many more surprises do you have that I don’t know about? Or should I say, are you Angel? Trevon said to himself.
After taking charge of the Insight Group, Trevon quickly leveraged company resources to launch Brilliance, despite opposition from many who felt there was already enough on his plate and saw no need to establish another jewelry company with such competition. However, Trevon was determined, personally leading the charge, recruiting, and investing a fortune. Seeing the results, the board members naturally fell silent.
Nobody knew why Trevon invested so much effort into starting a jewelry design company–only Trevon knew. He wanted Angel. To say that Trevon created Brilliance was to secure Angel’s loyalty to him alone.
Angel’s designs were well–known to Trevon–it was the dream of many jewelry designers and for Trevon, it was the pursuit of his heart and the key piece in his business empire’s puzzle to reach even greater heights. And within Selina’s designs, he felt Angel’s presence.
If the pursuit of his heart had anything to do with the woman Trevon loved.
What could be more interesting in this world?
Nothing.
When Andrew entered to report on work, for once, he found Trevon not buried in paperwork but lounging on a leather sofa. Trevon’s grey trousers hugged his long legs as he reclined comfortably, hands behind his head, exuding an air of noble leisure. Only those deep blue eyes flickered with a clever shine, brewing with a zeal known only to him.

Chapter 90
Noticing Andrew’s entry. Trevon spoke up casually, “All sorted out?
Yes everything for this afternoon is arranged. Mr. Brady can rest assured about the meeting with Angel. Andrew replied.
As Trevon sensed hesitation, he glanced over. “Is there something else?”
“You seem happier than this morning. Mr. Brady,” Andrew said.
Andrew didn’t dare to ask what had happened–even as Trevon’s closest aide, there were things he knew better than to question. But ever since Trevon’s contractual marriage to Selina Andrew couldn’t help but notice that Trevon was gradually becoming less like the man be thought he knew.
“You understand once you have a wife. Trevon said.
It was as if a bolt of lightning struck Andrew squarely on the head
The shock left his mind nearly paralyzed, not merely from Trevon’s unexpected mannerism. The fact that these words had come from Trevon himself was a cause for surprise, not just for Andrew but for anyone familiar–or unfamiliar with the once detached and prideful man.
Could the appearance of one woman truly change a man so profoundly? Andrew thought
It was 3 p.m.
Selina called Trevon
When Trevon pressed the answer button, he realized it was an audio call–no video and the caller’s tone was male, fitting the mysterious profile of Angel “Designer Angel lives up to the rumors of being enigmatic, I see.”
If you want to work with me, you should know my way of doing business. Don’t worry. It’s not personal and it’s the same for anyone who wants to partner with me. I don’t show my face.”
Ar that moment. Selina was sitting in a sky restaurant, leisurely sipping an Americano while phoning Trevon,
“I assume you’ve done your research on the Brilliance in the past three days. I. Andrew Trevon, can guarantee that as long as Angel is willing to collaborate with us, any terms you set will be entertained, as long as they’re reasonable.”
“Let me think” Selina replied.
Selina feeling a bit mischievous, deliberately paused before continuing. There’s a rumor that Mr. Brady is incredibly handsome. I happen to take an interest in sex. How about you spend a night with me? I’ll design a new piece for you, free of charge, a guaranteed smash hit”
An exclusive design from Angel, especially for a jewelry company like Brilliance that was looking to establish a global reputation, could bring innumerable benefits. Selina’s mischief wasn’t without forethought.
The expression on Trevon’s face became profoundly meaningful. I must decline. I have a wife and can’t do anything that would be unfair to her.”
