“So… we’re not training anymore?” Harmony asked curiously.
Ezekiel saw the guys around staring at her from time to time. Even though they were only looking, he didn’t like it at all. “I’ll get you an exclusive gym for yourself. Don’t come to crowded places like this,” said Ezekiel, a little jealous.
He held her hand and left the gym.
Harmony followed him into the elevator, back to their room, and into the bathroom. It was then Harmony realized what Ezekiel was trying to do. Even though he was a little flushed, Harmony had practically turned into a tomato.
“Are we really going to shower together?” asked Harmony quietly.
“Yep,” said Ezekiel with determination. “I’ll scrub your back.” I don’t think he’s going to just scrub my back. I don’t believe him at all. “You sure you’re only going to scrub my back?” Harmony raised her head, teasing him.
Ezekiel chuckled and pulled her closer. “If you want me to do something more, I won’t say no.” Harmony grinned. “You’re raring to go, aren’t you?” “We both are.” Ezekiel took her deeper into the bathroom. Harmony looked at his body. The veins were throbbing after that gym session.
She poked his chest.
“Just try. I heard Ezekiel’s going to attend a banquet tonight. I’ll slot you in.” “Banquet? An upscale one?” “Held by Presgrave Corporation. Do you have any idea of the hoops I went through just to get you a spot?” “I’ll try. I’ll dress up nicely and try to catch his attention.” “Let’s try. It’s a million and a half. It’s been a while since you made that kind of money. I can only take 20% of that, but you? You can take the rest.” Presgrave Corporation did have a business dinner that night, and Ezekiel was naturally invited.
It was afternoon. Harmony felt someone kissing her forehead. She was tired, but she still opened her eyes. Ezekiel was sitting beside her. Harmony held his hand and buried her face in his palm. Then, she promptly went back to sleep.
Ezekiel leaned lower and said, “There’s a banquet tonight, and I need you to be my date.” Harmony blinked. “You need me to go with you?” “Yep,” said Ezekiel.
Harmony nodded. “Sure.” She then held his hand, refusing to let him go. Ezekiel didn’t pull his hand back either. He lay on his side and stayed with her. Once Harmony had slept enough, she rolled herself off the bed. When Ezekiel looked at her neck, he couldn’t help but chuckle.
