James nodded. He was unsure of Farley’s plans but would hazard a guess that he intended to mislead the Divinity’s Sect and try to force them into action. Then, he could wipe them all out in one fell swoop.
After speaking, Farley sat in a lotus position on the ground and closed his eyes.
“Sir Gideon?” James called out with some hesitation.
Farley opened his eyes and looked at James, saying, “From this point, I'll be hiding all signs I’m alive. I’ll appear dead to everyone, and the news will surely spread throughout the Ancient Clan. Perhaps it might even become a worldwide sensation. You'll be the only one who knows that I'm in a state of suspended animation. I hope you help me keep it a secret.”
James nodded and replied earnestly, “Alright. I won’t tell anyone.”
Meanwhile, Quintina was still waiting outside the cave.
Two hours had passed, but James had not come out yet.
She anxiously paced back and forth, waiting for him.
James walked out of the cave just as she was about to rush in to check on them.
As soon as she saw James, she rushed over and grabbed him, asking, “How did it go? How’s my father?”
James looked at Quintina and uttered some brief consolation, “My condolences.”
“Huh?”
Quintina was stunned. After a few seconds, she rushed into the cave and saw Farley sitting in a lotus position on the ground lifelessly. She immediately rushed over and shook Farley.
“Father!”
As soon as she shook him, he fell to the ground.
“Ahh!!!” Quintina bawled out.
Her cries attracted the disciples guarding the mountain. Soon, many people rushed over and saw Farley’s body on the ground. Immediately, these guards knelt on the ground.
