Julia nodded with a smile. "That's great."
From the start until the end, a gentle smile was on the corners of Elisa's lips, but internally she felt particularly complicated.
Grandma's condition had to be dealt with as soon as possible, but Grandma couldn't find out about the specifics. Therefore, she could only choose to…
Elisa took a slight breath as if restraining her emotions. Only the heavens knew how jittery she felt. She wondered why the heavens would play such a joke on her.
Grandma couldn't be angered at all in her current condition!
For the next hour, Elisa stayed by Julia's side. Julia was delighted, but Elisa couldn't quite sit still. She couldn't put it off anymore!
She paused and smiled. "Grandma, I have some work matters to deal with. I'll visit you tomorrow, alright?"
Julia nodded understandingly. Although unwilling to part with Elisa, she smiled and said, "Go ahead. You don't have to come to see me for the next few days. You can come when you have the time. Go on, sweet child."
Elisa's brows fluttered, and she couldn't hold back her tears.
She took a breath and stopped herself from showing emotion. She smiled and nodded before picking up her bag and turning to leave.
Julia followed to send her off and repeatedly advised her kindly. "Liz, you never ate very regularly last time. You can't skip meals when you're busy with work now, alright? Don't work too late at night either. Remember to eat."
Elisa was about to cry. She nodded at once and took a breath before turning to look at Julia. She smiled and nodded. "Don't worry, Grandma. I will take care of myself, and you should, too. Don't argue with Grandpa. Both of you have to get along."
"I know. You don't have to worry about us."
Julia's voice was extremely gentle. Her kind face made Elisa's heart tremble even more. When they were at the door, Elisa said, "You don't have to send me off, Grandma. I can leave by myself."
