Granny Nory's eyelashes fluttered. She meant to say, 'Stop wasting your time and let me go. I've had enough of being half-dead, half-alive, and I don't want to give my family any more trouble. Just let me die peacefully…'
Sam seemed to know her thoughts, but he didn't provide any consolidations, knowing them to be futile.
At last, he drew a deep breath before saying, "You may start now."
With that, he looked at Jeremy, expecting him to carry out the following procedures.
To his surprise, Elisa marched over with the syringe in her hand.
When she was about to administer the shot, his gaze faltered. What is this young lady doing here?
He glanced at Jeremy again, noticing he was just doing some disinfection work, as though he was just her assistant.
Though confused, he was stopped by his good manners from inquiring into the matter.
After all, Jeremy wouldn't be another person's assistant. The fact that he was willing to do so proved that Elisa was much more capable than him.
The youngsters nowadays are so outstanding. How is it possible?
As Elisa started the injection, nervousness started to kick in within Sam's body. He inhaled slightly and held his breath.
Granny Nory showed no resistance at all. Not a single sound was heard from her as she was simply too ill.
Sam watched as Elisa retracted the syringe. Seeing that she made no attempt to carry out any more steps, he took a step forward. His gaze lingered on her briefly before he turned to Jeremy. "How… long do we have to wait?"
Is this it?
Jeremy replied calmly, "It takes around ten minutes for the results to be revealed, but that's because it's a smaller sample. I guess it will take more time now."
